I accept the fact there are better players than me regardless of the meta. If these weapons were as op as people said, I would dominate the crucible.

3 RepliesAccording to these forums, every weapon takes no skill.

2 RepliesTakes some skills, because I suck at using shot guns. I once chase a guardian halfway through the a map and shooting him with a shot gun but he wasn’t taking any damage. So I tried to get closer only to find out that he was one of my team mate.

Someone can’t aim. Or close space.

I beg to differ. I have a Felwinter's Lie shotgun but if I try to rush around like a madman like others do, sliding into people and then sprinting away after one-shotting them, I usually just die. It takes skill to judge how to rush and when to shoot even with a so-called easy weapon like Felwinter's Lie. And in a one-on-one duel with other players using a hand cannon I usually lose because I'm not the best shot. Unless I get the first shot in to give me a leg-up on the fight I'm toast. I do think that both shotguns and hand cannons are a bit overpowered but there is still skill needed to max out their effectiveness.

I’ll still take this over the 600 rpm gnawing hunger/suros meta

Of course this post was made following a bunch of PvP losses...
-
i call bs. if it took no skill then i would be a lot better with them.
-
I love it when skilled players tell me what to do 😂

2 RepliesShotgun takes skill, 120 no so much

1 ReplyIt takes skill to have map awareness, read the radar and be able to move regardless of what guns you’re using dickwad.
-
If it takes no skill you should be using them
-
2 RepliesShotguns do take skill. Closing the gap on someone that isn’t rushing can be difficult and dueling other shotgun users. As for 120’s, yeah. They have some thicc hitboxes

3 RepliesNever post after getting destroyed.

... git gud

3 RepliesAnd what do you use my dear friend?

5 RepliesEdited by Cho: 4/6/2021 6:43:48 AMUsing a shotgun intelligently actually takes a decent amount of skill, especially against higher tier players who 100% will punish you for misplays. I chuckle when I see the average ape tape down w and run in a line towards me with their shotgun out. Part of the skill of shotguns comes not from the mechanics but rather the ability to close a gap and survive in close quarters. I’ll give you that 120s are busted right now but I’ll take that any day over stasis ability spam fest
