I had the thought as a joke but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.

1 ReplyIs that why the old d2 and d1 armour looks far better?
-
Get that logic outta here... This is destiny's forums That doesn't exist.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 2/4/2021 3:00:45 PMThe best looking armour has to be sold via Eververse to offset the cost of crayons, paper & wasted productivity caused by sunsetsmith

Why buy with bright dust tomorrow? What you can buy with silver today? 😈
-
This sound right except half the ornaments are ugly
-
For every person that thinks it’s ugly, someone thinks it’s cool. Just look at the screenshot submissions that are terrible. Guarantee that person thinks it’s the shit.
-
7 RepliesIts not a theory, it's been proven. They also try to match new players with ornament purchasers to incite them to purchase as well. I know this factually first hand.
-
As tinfoil hat as that sounds is probably true, shady practices like hiring psychologists to encourage addictive behaviour are not beneath this company.
-
1 ReplyThe whole game is just a storefront for everworse.
-
2 RepliesI have a theory the moon is made of cheese
-
There's a huge flaw in your theory: ornaments are awful too. Save for one every 2 or 3 seasons...
-
1 Replywhere's the theory
-
I would bet they do something similar to this. 1-Great Artists create magnificient armor. 2-Bungie dept then takes all the colours and pieces that look cool of it, and put them in eververse. Players get ripped of buying it, Artists get ripped of to because the proceeds of eververse dont go to them. It goes to the live team. !
-
Well that doesn’t exactly explain why a bunch of the ornaments are just as ugly or even uglier!
-
2 RepliesIt’s not really a theory. It’s true.

6 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 2/4/2021 3:46:46 PMOther popular theories Look up - The Sky is all around us Oxygen is important The Earth is flat Bethesda games are buggy & Destiny 2 has been abandoned by Bungie One of these is false!

Same as how every dlc has something essentially and game breaking powerful. A sub class or exotic item every time.
-
7 RepliesNo one puts time and effort into something to intentionally make it bad. You guys need to get some air serious.
-
dude that's all but flat out stated by the company itself. Anyone with any basic business education can give you an essay on how this is true. Ranging from standard business practices and statistical probability, to basic elementary and conspiracy theory backed by pulled together evidence.
-
10 RepliesThe eververse argument for just about anything is near dead/irrelevant. You can get so much bright dust next season you just about get whatever you desire. Patience pays.
-
That's funny considering the ornaments look like crap too
-
I mean maybe but I don't believe they think that far ahead or have the ability to plan out a detailed strategy like that. At least based on the events of the past 18-24 months. They just don't have any imagination and drive left to do cool things IMO.
-
2 RepliesAnd also, they made the Trials armour look awesome in a bid to increase the Trials popluation.
-
Seems legit. The Season of the Hunt ornaments are atrocious and those pictures released this week (if it is the new season pass armor) are face-palminly bad. I find out hard to believe that the poor aesthetic wasn't intentional. If you received decent looking ornaments that looked good you wouldn't be compelled to buy new Eververse armor or flop your skull against Trials of Osiris to inflate their engagement metrics.
-
they arent doing a very good job then most of the hunter legs look like they been on a cocaine and meth diet for years .
-
13 RepliesActually this is the reason why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gBopkRAmbs As far as I can tell, all of the animation in this game is done via motion capture. So making anything in the game is expensive and time-consuming. Especially things that require geometry changes to in-game objects. So Bungie tends to go with a particular theme....and then iterates on it over time. Which can be frustrating if you don't LIKE that particular theme.
