Come on Bungie...
This was literally on your app. The fact that y'all aren't making any tangible effort to prevent cheating in PvP is why people have the audacity to do this stuff. I love Destiny. The PvE is on point but, PvP (looking at you, Trials) is virtually unplayable by honest gamers because there is no system in place to properly report cheaters. Even something as simple as a recordable kill cam to show you when a dude's aimbot snaps to my eyebrow before I even turn the corner he's camping. The lawsuit with Riot is a step in the right direction but, there need to be changes in-game that make cheating more identifiable and reportable.
Here's my recommendation: In the 5 second delay time after dying, show a quick kill cam from the other player's perspective with a single key/button that records the kill footage. The video expires in 24 hours so it doesn't eat up hard drive space but, the video can be tagged and sent to Bungie reviewers from the in-game menu. I believe punishment for cheating should be harsh to discourage cheaters ie: 3 month ban from competitive PvP.

4 RepliesThis is ridiculous man. I don't even bother attempting Trials because of this. I mean there's an obvious difference between playing against really good PVPers and playing against cheaters. I want to enjoy Crucible, but it's hard to get into it when every other match is overwhelmingly one sided because people can't just play fair.

7 RepliesEvery pvp game has some sort of cheating. Even the stupid minecraft sky wars is full of cheaters. Bungie will just sweep it under the carpet as usual because this is not worth their effort. Banning players from an already shrinking player base will be beyond their tiny logical capacity.

3 RepliesMy anti cheat ideas are, if you hit too many headshots, you get booted from the game, and it records all of your headshots so the footage can be reviewed to know if you’re cheating or not. If it detects you’re shooting too fast, you get banned, if it detects you move too fast, you get banned, if it detects you die and instantly respawn in the same location, you get banned. It’s funny how in the other posts I see the -blam!-ing community can make a better anti cheat, even while most of us don’t have any experience in coding or making games at all.

There was another post on the app for 3 hours or more. Trials ghost lobby. It was going strong for ages and I even saw the history of that player. They have been doing it for weeks. It baffles me that bungie anti cheat cannot see what we can see from the app. What a joke.

1 ReplyI mean they couldnt ban them over that. For all we know it could just be a joke or troll. I use lfg on other platforms and ive put “must know cheese” when there wasnt one. Or “easy carry. Unlimited range shotgun” when i suck at pvp and dont use shotguns lol.
