Why is crucible filled with shotguns and fusion rifles
Title. You can’t really do much in the crucible since everyone is using those guns.

5 RepliesThings that are easy to use or that people struggle to counter will always see more use. Ie arbalest, jotunn, telesto, felwinters, ace of spades, etc...I use them, most people use them. They afford easy kills usually, so why not use them. Since Bungie doesn’t want to upset the power balance of the top tier players.

Effectively infinite special ammo is the main reason. A system like ammo only from heavy crates or ammo only on precision kill would remedy snipers and shotguns pretty quickly. It's an endless cycle though. Pvp is and always will be some form of unbalanced . Probably why bungie stopped trying

Fellwinters lie needs to be outright removed when sunset. It destroys every shotgun, and dominates the game. Either remove quickraw or outright remove it when sunset.

It pays to take your time and let attackers come to you. Jump backwards and punish a shotgun ape with a sidearm before he gets to you. Shimmy in and out of cover and bait them into wasting their fusion rifle ammo. Fight smarter, not harder.

1 ReplySnipers are an easy tell. Just assume everyone is running shotgun or fusion and counter with better positioning. Play to the strengths of your load out and create space.

To be honest I’m fine with the sniper nerf, I’m a die hard sniper main anyway I’ll role with whatever happens.

Fusion rifles are easy if you know how to precharge(which everyone knows how to do) and shotguns require positioning but they’re pretty straight forward so they may not be the easiest but they are the most solid choice for any FPS player.

Nobody uses fusion rifles since they got neutered. Except Bastion and Jotuun. Crucible kids looove Bastion. But yes, shotguns are everywhere these days.

People are lazy and like instant gratification. Everyone is going for that ohk, that's why specials and cheesey build like stasis shatter are on top.

Because of ease of use while you spawn in with 2 and can pick up 3 on a special weapon kill. While primaries are unforgiving and the maps are ridiculously small.
