It's already one of the strongest exotics in the game, it doesn't need extra melee energy involved.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what op stated .. Op said his melee charge isn't refilling after killing corrupted enemies
-
One of the strongest? It applies a dot. Lol
-
a DoT as strong as 3 shotgun blasts and that spreads infinitely
-
Are you okay?
-
I'm talking about PvE, not PvP. Do the math, the DoT deals the same damage as 3 shotgun blasts.
-
I'm also referring to PvE, it's not broken at all. Kills pretty slow. Just nice and useable.
-
Isn’t partially restoring melee energy part of the exotic description?
-
Edited by BIRB: 12/8/2020 1:17:28 PMDebatable. It’s one of the more unique exotics for sure, but it doesn’t bring to the table anything we haven’t really seen before. It’s essentially a really good add clear with a sick animation. Everything this could do, trinity ghoul’s catalyst from last season could do in a single arrow literally anywhere on the map.
-
It’s good in PvE sure but PvP? -blam!- no, majority of the time you don’t even benefit off of the perk so it isn’t worth running.
-
Not everything is a pvp item ya know.....
-
This^^^
-
It’s not overly strong unless you do the thorn combo and I can only really recommend that for strikes and PVP not any high level PVE content so yes it should do what it says with melee energy.
-
Edited by PhantomBrown: 12/8/2020 9:44:49 AMGothalion was using them in contest mode on the first run through the raid and he was doing great so you are wrong boy.
-
I said I can only recommend the thorn combo for that, was he using them with thorn the whole raid instead of better DPS exotic heavy? I highly doubt it. Using them alone in raids is fine it’s just not that crazy strong as you shouldn’t always be meleeing things in raids. I use Karnstein Armlets in raids sometimes too doesn’t mean they’re that strong they just help on rare occasion. Also Goth isn’t the omega speed run master of Destiny.
-
He definitely was, remember no one knew what was best dps etc it was the first day of the raid and they finished in the top 10. So it's definitely a top tier exotic.
-
It definitely needs to do what is says it does...
-
A decent exotic? Sure. One of the strongest? Keep dreaming lmao
-
Have you used it? Out of all the new exotics this season, this is easily one of the best
-
Edited by Knavenformed: 12/8/2020 12:46:20 PMIt needs 2 exotic slots to do what many guns and other subclasses do by themselves. Fun? Sure. Good? Yeah. One of the best? Uhhhhmmm nope.
-
How would you even know? You barely have a warlock lol. It doesn’t need thorn to be deadly. Thorn is just a plus. I really can’t think of another exotic armor that came out this season that is on par with it except for bakris and chorus.
-
Well first the differences between classes are a jump and a class ability, not that hard to imagine how the combo would work + videos about the combo. Also: Sunshot exists Chain Reaction exists Code of the Commander exists. Theoretical infinite trash clear can be used multi-class without needing a 2 exotic combo. And sacrificing 2 exotic slots for it just keeps it from being anything top notch.
-
In terms of what?
-
Edited by Ray: 12/8/2020 6:58:55 AMYou can wipe a whole team with just a melee in PVP. It’s great for ad clear in pve. It’s good in end game content too. You really can’t go wrong with it. I’m not saying it’s the best in the game but it’s definitely a top tier exotic. I haven’t even mentioned the synergy with thorn
-
You can wipe a whole team with just a melee in PVP.
I guess if were talking melee abilities it depends on which one you're using, but a normal melee? No, no you can not.
-
Clearly talking about the melee ability
