Pretty much the title but by uncommon, I mean as in is this hobby not something you frequently see unless you visit a community based around it?
Personally, I’m a big fan of collecting figures for franchises I enjoy. I’ve spent the better half of the last 2 years collecting all the figures from the Metroid series, the primary goals being the figmas (the final of which is on its way to me now). I also own a pretty extensive collection of the McFarlane Halo figures from when I was a teenager and up till now. I’m not sure why I enjoy collecting them, but I just do.
What about you guys? Any hobbies you have that you think would be uncommon?

Whenever there’s a dry period during the year when nothing new is out, I always go back to speed running GTA V. I just really enjoy it. I’ve speed ran it so much, I don’t even remember the normal routes. It’s a curse, too, whenever I watch someone play GTA, I get annoyed when the person doesn’t do the speed run routes. The worst it got was when I was watching Hololive clips of GTA, I had trouble enjoying the clips.

I do a good bit of writing. But more uniquely, I do all the mapping for what I write myself. And I try to draw every map in a different style.

I’m working on Cosplay right now, I’m planning to make that a true hobby once I get a break from school. For those wondering, yes, I am still working on the DSAP, it’s just going really slowly.
Hecking Spitfires
Several hobby’s, each tied for numb 1 Lego Minecraft, transformers, nerf... Lego Minecraft has been my favorite line for lego, while I dove into starwars for a while, Minecraft has proven superior Transformers was one of my old hobby’s, revived after getting the siege thundercracker back in July, then spiraling out of control until I developed a *harem of tranformers And Nerf has been the oldest part of my collection, and also the largest....
*my sister and brother joked around about my transformers, and after a very hilarious convo that would have consequences being posted here, it got its official name as *budgies transformer harem*
Archery Making lamps and furniture from found materials that would otherwise have went to a landfill- my favorite material is masonry. Lamps made of an old damaged brick and some old iron pipe are cool, imo. I helped clear a felled tree from someone’s property and kept a few pieces, this one section has a big round protrusion I’m going to try and resin it into a vessel sink for my bathroom, but I’ll probably mess it up lol. Rebuilding old cars (mostly resto-modding, not putting it back all original. . . Although if I go a car that was really special I’d make sure to do a “pure restore” So far I’ve done: 63 Ford truck 66 Thunderbird 69 Mustang 76 Camaro So not a lot but each car took a couple of years and each was my daily driver for awhile before I sold it. And as a hobby I’ve helped family and friends with their cars, too. I’ll also work on friends’ modern cars if they need it, like when a friend of mine went to the dealership and got quoted 600.00 to fix something that cost 50.00 in parts and twenty minutes of my time lol. Overlanding- building an SUV right now to be self sustainable for about a week, solar panels, sleeping, cooking, fuel storage, etc.

I like cutting out paper snowflakes.

I used to be a big Doctor Who collector, mainly the classic series. Back in my parents place I have a LOT of stuff: books, DVDs, VHSs, cds, figures, toys, statuettes, posters, magazines, board games, random paraphernalia. Nowadays I’m not bothered that much about anything beyond the DVDs so that’s why it’s still all at my parents’.

I make German paper stars sometimes. Just for fun. They’re good Christmas tree ornaments. Last year I made....70..... My brothers, my friend, and me are super into playing cards. By that I mean we play whenever we get a chance, and we’ve got a small collection of fancy decks.

I guess table top games. RPGs like D&D, card games, board games, et cetera. Also writing. I've loved writing since I was young and would write shitty stories based on the games my friends and I would play. To continue from that, I also love world building. We had our own little fantasy world and I would take everyone's vague descriptions of their kingdoms and make it all fit together. Lore stuffs are fun!
