This is obviously my personal opinion, but having your ability to fight back in any capacity for a few seconds at a time (which is an eternity in the crucible) by abilities that come back every 30 seconds or so makes for a terrible time. On the other end, I find zero enjoyment out of killing an enemy who lacks the ability to defend themselves in any way.
I'm sure there's people who are loving Stasis in Crucible, and they have every right to that opinion. Just wanted to throw my hat in the ring on this one and say that it's thoroughly unenjoyable for me personally and I truly hope changes are made, sooner rather than later.

I’ve only done a few matches so far and I have to say I agree with you. For me, I don’t really find it fun at all. I think I’m only going to play pvp when a quest a requires it or for a milestone from now on lol. I think if you get frozen it needs a quicker response to get out of that state or at least be able to use your weapon so you have some fighting chance.

Agreed.
-
Haha yeah.. pretty bad. It's a good thing I dont care 1 but about crucible!

3 RepliesCC is bad for shooters. Always has been always will be. Look at overwatch when brig was added..... game became an mmo and completely lost the shooter aspect for over a year. Adding CC to destiny is a cancerous move that lacks creativity. Best part is warmind cells still do ad clear better then a super

3 RepliesSolar subclasses should make u immune to freeze
-
-blam!- game
-
Its a circus 😂
-
12 RepliesThe ShadeBinder melee can 1v1 a super. Let me repeat that. You can shit all over a super in a 1v1 with a CHARGED MELEE. Yea you still have to shatter them after you freeze them.
-
Maybe you just haven't figured out how to counter it yet?
-
Can you imagine how little fun it will be in Mayhem Crucible, when your super comes up every few Seconds???

Edited by Artisan: 11/12/2020 6:07:49 PMHere it is: being Stasis-frozen in PvP is the equivalent of the ultra annoying PvE Boss Stomp mechanic It's the same as Bungie having set up repeated disconnection of our controller/mouse, removing all player agency - save a slow-responsive self-damage option - and somehow believing that might pass as fun. Oh and it's P2W now.
-
Yes. After only a few matches I realized the top-tier players will have a field day spawn trapping with this shit. Then it happened to two matches later! A coordinated team could chain stasis together and use the homing squall to add to the misery. Freezing opponents is equivalent to a super in PVP, but Bungie knew this already.

1 ReplyUpvoted for using the phrase 'sooner rather than later' as opposed to the oft incorrect 'sooner than later' which is stupid because sooner is ALWAYS sooner than later...
-
yea and now its going to get hit hard in pve as well. thats greaaaaat......
-
There was no suspicion. Anyone with a properly formed brain and five minutes experience in the crucible would of KNOWN.
-
Oh noes 😱
-
19 RepliesYeah, I can imagine. It was frustrating to play against in pve.
I actually threw a controller for the first time in years when I got frozen in mid-jump, and then fell off the platform to my death...for the third time...in one of the boss fights.
I can only imagine how tilting it is in pvp. Sadly, for you guys, I really think this is Bungie boiling the frog slowly as they turn away from pvp.

I use a decent counter and that's an auto aim toaster that everyone hates. :) Keep my distance and let the toaster toast.
-
Yep. Statis is OP as -blam!-. And everyone is using it.
-
1 ReplyYup it's official, Crucible is now trash... Oh wait when wasn't it
-
1 ReplyWhat I do I freeze them tea bag them then kill them 👀
-
I played a few matches and all of the sudden, I have no idea how to play anymore. I’m certainly not elite, but I’m not bad. Being frozen and everyone throwing ice walls literally just seems like a cluster-blam!-. I can’t even imagine what Trials will look like.
-
2 RepliesAs a PVE player, i say nothing is wrong. This made me love he crucible! Also rocking THorn and a god roll truthteller and t bagging. LMAO
-
Imagine being someone who believed Bungie when they said you could play crucible for free this season, then realizing the game is now pay to win.
-
I don't mind it in pve as it keeps the player on their toes. My problem with destiny bosses in the past was that they just stood in the center of a room and let the player shoot them for a few minutes until they died. This time around, I feel like the bosses are an actual threat and you have to active move around the map and study their attack patterns. I have no encountered any stasis users in pvp, but I had an inkling that it would have a backlash on the experience.

They will nerf it soon
