I enjoy cbmm more than sbmm
-
Both fail because of Bungie's 'lobby balancing'...
-
If sbmm stands for sconnection based matchmaking, then yes by all means sbmm
-
Sbmm makes sense to go against people the same skill as yourself not just streamers that live in the crucible or competitive junkies. plus it was easier to detect cheaters before as well

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 6/17/2020 6:35:06 PMSo far, seems the same to me. I think when the population is high, skill based, but when population is low, go connection. I believe I have a lot of players around me in the Seattle area.

6 RepliesEdited by Exo_Strangers_Only_Fans: 6/17/2020 9:20:26 PMI have to pick sbmm At least I didn’t have to wait half an hour for a lobby that would be mostly filled with laggers
-
6 RepliesNeither exists in D2 PvP, it's completely Random Based Match Making.

I honestly have noticed little to no difference. My matches are about the same, if not a bit sweatier and my connection as well as others seems the same
-
I can honestly say that I can tell no difference in waiting times, no difference in teleporting players, but what I can tell you is with cbmm im getting destroyed almost every match and it’s not fun at all. I’m old so don’t give me the whole you will get better playing better opponents. I’m too old to improve. Cbmm only makes life easy for better players wanting to stomp on people period.🤷♂️🙄

26 RepliesPvp is fun again, with cbmm. I can start using memeloadouts again and still reach top leaderboard.
-
I voted SBMM because I somehow had less lag in that than in CBMM.

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 6/17/2020 5:08:40 PMExtremely sweaty all around now. No noticeable change in connections. Still shooting proximity grenades right through people and roaming supers not connecting. Sweaties were having connection problems because there are not enough players at their skill level, they were getting matched with players all over the world. This is a problem with p2p connections. Cbmm has torpedoed the avenue for mediocre players to “git Gud” to enlarge the pool of skilled players, so now when the newbies are driven away it will be worse. It’s a band aid fix to a p2p server system that is just going to make everything worse in the long run.

I'm trash either way, so whatever the PvPers prefer.
-
Not noticed to much of a difference tbh. Maybe a little less sweaty but not by much, still getting players teleporting and killing me in a instant but I feel this will never be fixed with the outdated networking this game uses.
-
CBMM is the best. Some of the games are crispy and then there are games with bad hit detection, but overall I'd give CBMM an 8.8 out of 10.
-
CBMM 100 %
-
1 ReplyThere needs to be a mix of both imo. SBMM favours those that aren’t that good at the game. CBMM favours those that ARE good at the good

1 ReplyEdited by GoFlyers11: 6/17/2020 5:24:20 AMI haven’t played enough crucible to vote in the past year, but I have been more this season(coincidence), but I did get my first undefeated in comp today (an hour before reset), 12-0... I had good teammates, and lost the past 2 matches, so I’m not great... but comp is just sometimes like that for me in solo, I have my matches where I’m top(assists helps lol).

I feel one of the big issues besides sbmm or cbmm is that not everyone has the same goal when playing crucible. Some are there for bounties or weapon quest progress or powerful weekly stuff. Not all players are working on the same objective every match.
