Barely any players would be left. Just f.e. say outbreak prime glitch, riven cheese fight, afk farming forges long ago, using exploits for getting raid chests....and the list could go on like that. It's in the most peoples nature too cheat and take free stuff if there is. Why you think most people play meta weapons in pvp? Cause it's the easiest way. Most people like easy. That one is on bungie for not testing/fixing their game. It"s not like Cheaters on PC which use tools. It's an exploit therefore Bungies fault.

Yes it is there job to let players know that if they cheat, exploit, or anything similar will be met with the appropriate action whether it be a ban or temporary ban. Which they have. So yes I want these AFK players to be banned permanently or temporarily. This shit is annoying as all hell. They have matchmaking for a reason. Fix the glitch and ban these people. I under what you are saying but it effects others to the point where they cant play the dang game.

True, but bungie built a game with mindless grind, so people are mindlessly grinding. I mean who is surprised this would happen?
