16 RepliesEdited by NIGHT LORD14: 5/13/2020 4:24:46 AMCan we just get an actual -blam!-ing campaign again. I miss the classic mission structure. I miss when the story mode was playable and wasn’t just jumping through progressively more difficult hoops, doing completely random things in order to fill a progress bar. None of the content from the past three seasons has felt meaningful because that’s all it is, is just doing stuff to fill the bar and get the next step to do more meaningless things to fill another bar. It all just feels so trite and like I’d rather be playing Halo or D1.

I wonder if the quest never gets finished if they'll actually have to crash the ship. I mean they can't not crash the ship, it would mean that the seasonal content had no impact on the story (even though it went away at the end of the season so still technically had no impact). Unfortunately it would unravel their commitment to "tying" story elements together whichever way it goes. Either the story continues without user input (ship is stopped even if quest isn't completed), negating any reason to participate, or the ship does crash but has no impact on anything (it would technically end the game), again negating any reason to participate.

5 RepliesEdited by nonchalantone: 5/13/2020 3:42:12 PMWhy not change it to crucible kills instead of tower completions? Anyone agree? Either way we will have to grind it out. The matchmaking is already there, problem solved. Unless......this was actually MEANT to be failed......as part of the storyline.

The 2 options to this dilemma are Dmg04, Cosmo, Agent Smith, et al., are Sadomasochists and no one at Bungie actually plays Destiny 2 or Dmg04, Cosmo, Agent Smith, et al., are Sadomasochists and no one at Bungie actually plays Destiny 2.

Deidris's Retort was better anyway.

The community cannot stop crying about a video game meaning we cannot progress.

All this work for a crappy Legendary PvP shotgun. Yeah that’s a Nope from me.
-
With the hype for the gun and the ornaments for sale in eververse-bungie will release the gun no matter.

1 ReplyHow are people still playing this? I uninstalled this trash from my hard drive over 4 months ago, you DO realize it wont get better right? Right?
-
Yep, as bad as forges were. After IB, see you guys next season. Borderlans are waiting for me.
-
2 RepliesDo you have to successfully complete the towers or can you just let the clock run out? If you don’t have to do it successfully let’s just all hit up the towers and let the time run out, do something else while we wait for the timer to run down

1 ReplyWhy cant you complete the Seraph towers?

4 RepliesYa know every once in a while Bungo has a decent idea. But thats few and far between. And whats inbetween is the numerous instances like this. People already hated the idea of the seasonal activity being public events. Everyone did them at the beginning, hated them, and didnt touch it after. THAT is when you introduce a quest like this. When everyone is doing them. Not at the tail end of the season when nobody enjoys or wants to play the activity. The activity was poorly thought out from the beginning. You guys knew matchmaking was necessary to efficiently get it done. You learned this with the Warmind dlc. D2 was a step backwards for the franchise. How are we 3 years into the sequel and you're still going backwards???

I agree, This quest is horrific.

Bungie knew this was coming. They saw all our feedback over bounty grind, guardian games, etc. And they didn't think the change it BEFORE it came out. So now they have a mess. And they will have some insignificant post talking about their error, and how there is a fix coming. They are listening Horse hockey.

Picked up the quest yesterday all pumped to get on with it then saw what was needed 😴😴😡😡🤬🤬 so now I'll just sit and wait. As a day one player I feel bungie are taking the piss, especially with this quest...
The community cannot complete the Seraph towers meaning we cannot progress.
Just start the quest, do one event and stop!! They will have to award the weapon to all or no-one, cause this event won’t finish in the time given, just won’t get the traction needed unless they change parameters to number of kills rather than number of plays.
-
The perfect fix: Make the servers tend to throw in more players together instead of spreading everyone in 4 player groups

1 ReplyYet another overbearing, unoriginal task that we need to beat ourselves to death with and I can’t be bothered to contribute to. Guardian Games ❌ The Lie❌

3 RepliesEDZ 146,111, Moon 21,364, IO 12,747 = Total 180,222 in 22 hours 18,022/22=8,192 per hours. 9,000,000/8,192 = 1,098 hours = 46 days required. Bungie? Is this calculation right?
-
2.1% total progress per day .. Yeah just 49 more days.. Not Gonna Bother
The community cannot complete the Seraph towers meaning we cannot progress.
Is not that that we can’t complete them but there is two huge problems on this event... the fact that matchmaking doesn’t exist and the fact that the rewards you get after a completion are not enough 10 bits and a couple of armor pieces?? Really?? At least increase the amount of bits you get maybe triple or even more, so people that haven’t finish their bunkers have a benefit from spending hours doing this event... Last night I heard something that actually bothered me a lot, someone in my friends party chat told me “Keep trying you can do it instead of us” basically people is just waiting for other to get this quest step so they can unlock their next step... Does this sound right to anyone here?? So I can just sit in the back and wait??? I like to play the game but all this events have been planned by people that actually either don’t play the game or just want us to play what they want the way that they want us to... (sorry about my grammar and English is not my first language)

1 ReplyNow lets see what heppens when PVE'ers dont' give a shit about a PVP weapon, lets see..... at its current rate it will be done in SEPTEMBER!
-
Edited by TheOtherGuy: 5/13/2020 4:22:30 PMRight now it would need another 50 days to complete the step, if people would do as much progress as the last day. I doubt that. Guess it will never be finished and bungie auto-complete it in 2 weeks.

The ship should hit the city and shake things up
