All the gear from d1 looks better than the gear from d2.
In my opinion, there isn’t a single set in d2 that’s as good as high quality as the gear in d1. Long Tomorrow was one of the coolest hunter sets. Every single d1 iron banner set was gold. All the raid gear? Epic. Where did that quality go?

The only armor piece I didn't like from D1 was the Titan WOTM Chest. That thing was just ew. Everything else though 100% on point.

I miss it all. And it sucks that we earned all that cool gear only for a short time. My warlock had a trials helmet. I miss it. Haven't even touched D2 trials because of how messy it is.

1 ReplyI don't think even 50% of the team that worked on D1 even work at bungie anymore, hence why the quailty has got worse an why they use there copy an paste skills so much rather than making new sets for activities.

2 RepliesTop of my head armor pieces from D2 that i like: Warlock - Prestige Leviathan - Menagerie - Future War Cult - Barons Robe from Foresaken Hunters have the best looking armor but i only like the caps better. Titans have good helms and some good aesthetics if you combined them properly but those shoulder pads man...

My main issue with warlock robes in d2 is that they are all a bit, much. Like in d1 the robes were simple in design, they looked like a wizard robe. In d2 it looks like my fairy godmother came and set me up with a sparkly dress to, I dunno blind my enemies with how cringey the details on it are? I feel like every robe either makes my neck look like a girrafe or they have some crazy shoulder pad things or make it look like my head is smaller then the rest of me. I use pheonix protocol because it doesnt make my neck crazy long, it doesnt have weird shoulder pads, and it isnt super bulky. I'm a warlock, not a titan.

The only set I like from D1 was the Iron Banner Iron Companion armor set for the Hunter class. Makes me look like Darth Revan with the helmet though xD

13 RepliesRaid gear in D1 looked like basic blue sets in D2. Only improved at the end of D1 with ornaments. But the base gear looked bad.

Lol I mean I disagree that ALL are better... D1 definitely had more cooler sets but, holy freak D2 has a few combos/sets that make all the D1 sets wet there pants... minus maybe the crota armor😂 imo

A lot of it was better. But a lot from d2 is good too.

SOO TRUE D1 they actually worked on the armor sets and all the details in the armor but now they do too much for the maps
