I shouldn't be getting sniped from literally the other side of a crucible map by an AR. Hardlight has become a cancer, and it's time it was removed.

2 RepliesCommunity: auto rifles dont feel strong Bungie: ok we buff Community: auto rifles are to strong now Bungie: nope

Auto rifles are finally viable and hardlight is getting nerfed... Maybe embrace the new meta? Hand cannon meta got old after the 1st year of it
-
Do you play on PC? Cause that doesn’t happen on console and is near impossible
-
19 RepliesNobody touched auto rifles, ever. They get a small buff and now it's "durrrrr bungo, nerf these guns, they deal damage and I can't shotgun ape against them. Duuuuuurrrrrrr"
-
10 RepliesIf you're getting snipped at distance from an AR, you suck. After 25-35m, auto rifles drop off a lot in damage and cross map would barely hurt. You're exaggerating, lying, or both.
-
2 RepliesNah, it's Shotguns. Always was Shotguns and it remains Shotguns.

Edited by ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ: 4/28/2020 6:06:19 PMAnother hand cannon-main player sore about the 20 month hand cannon meta finally leaving....lol
-
5 RepliesOnly hardlight. The others are fine.
-
Hard light sucks at long range. It has no accuracy. Autos are fun in quick play but suffer from severe damage falloff. I do best with bygones or last perdition in this meta. It’s laughably easy to outrange or out strafe an auto rifle. The .7 TTK isn’t achieved enough to warrant them a competitive option.
-
Edited by XxSkull FistxX: 4/27/2020 9:30:03 PMBut it was ok for you to snipe with hand canons for the last couple years because your a hand canon user? Give it a rest. You can’t have only two viable weapons in PvP hand canon/shotgun. It’s about time another weapons class is viable in PvP. Autos are just fine where they are. You’ve got Lunas which will beat hard light almost every time on small and medium maps. This happens every single time any other weapons get a buff that aren’t hand canons or shotguns.
-
Again with the PvP nerfs? Don’t nerf them because then they suck in pve
-
2 RepliesNot really. If you're skilled enough, you can still run Handcannons and do just fine on Comp and Trials.
-
Hardlight is definitely the most recognizeable AR in PvP right now but most of my deaths are from shotguns, and it has been that way for months. I also think shotguns are wayy easier to use than ARs as well.
-
Aww poor baby
-
14 RepliesThen they need to deal with Hand cannons. A HC shouldn't be able to out range an automatic rifle.
-
F uck you and your nerfs.
-
So weird coming back and seeing HL as a meta weapon....Mfkn HARD LIGHT?
-
They made this season about AR's in PVP and put enhanced mods in the season pass/artifact. That means PVP people basically have to buy the season pass. When they want to sell the next season pass, I expect they'll shift meta and put enhanced mods for whatever is next in that version of the artifact. This looks like a way for B to make sales without Tess being involved. I still find it refreshing to not have to use a hand cannon every match always. I imagine we'll see a meta change away from AR's soon enough
I shouldn't be getting sniped from literally the other side of a crucible map by an AR. Hardlight has become a cancer, and it's time it was removed.
You're talking about 1 gun that has great range and that's hard light. Even still, the gun is not very accurate from about 35m and beyond. There is no mapping being done by auto rifles as a whole.

Edited by MelissaJDiamonds: 4/27/2020 4:03:09 PMOnly hard light is a problem which needs to be looked into as it's over used has hit number one in destiny 2 most over used weapon apart from that auto rifles are fine im lucky got all my triumphs done before this problem started but can understand the community's frustration with it . Simple answer would be to take away stability and down range .

You should probably change the title of your thread to "Having problems with Hard Light." Not all autos are the same. I"ve been running the Sweet Business since Y1 and I'm glad that they've finally been shown some love. Have I run hard light? Yeah, usually for weapon damage bounties, or for my Thorn quest. I used it on bannerfall the other day and got pooped on by snipers. So I know that it can be fought from "Literally the other side of a crucible map" if the other person is a better shot. If you really want to complain about autos, then let bungie undo the nerf to High Caliber Rounds and let me go get my Y1 Uriel's Gift out of storage. Then you'll know some real pain.

5 RepliesHard Light is annoying but AR's in general are fine.
-
6 RepliesAww shadddup!!! Auto rifles were in a terrible place before this. They are perfect the way they are. Stop crying over one gun and blaming the whole archetype
-
From being never used at all to being usable in pvp and now the Handcannon crybabies come crawling.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 4/27/2020 7:27:49 PMAutos deserve their meta And it’s taken 3 bloomin’ years of D2 for Hardlight to lose its shake, gain its catalyst - finally finding its place this season If Hardlight goes, then Suros takes its place, then Monte Carlo, then Summoner/other 600rpm Auto Rifles (I’m currently using a D2Y1 Auto Rifle from Trials - works great) Handcannons & Shotguns were meta for 2 years So leave Auto Rifles where they are Buff the 450 & 360 versions

51 RepliesI tried to explain why 600s are busted, but I got drowned out by this community. People like crutching. Just bag them.
