I was downloading the new update for destiny and when I tried to play it said I was permanently banned and had no reason listed? I've been playing Destiny for more than 3 years and was just banned after updating for no reason. Any help would be nice, I spent money on Foresaken and don't want that all wasted with this BS.

Intent. Threats. Begging. It is all irrelevant. They make the rules. We have to follow them. Break them and they penalize you. They've had this no tolerance policy since Day 1 of D1. It won't change anytime soon. The process for BANS and RESTRICTIONS involve reports coming in from players or their flag system towards an individual. The person at Bungie HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done. If you pray hard enough maybe just maybe the person that runs the BNGSecurity account will care enough to give you an extremely vague reason as to why a punishment was issued. The chances of that happening are slim to none. Here's some examples of the other 380+ people who "did nothing wrong" that the BNGSecurity account replied to. https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/BungieActivity/254/21102603/BNGSecurity [EDIT] Recently they have added a form to appeal a BAN or RESTRICTION. (SUSPENSIONS are not included.) https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 But know that the chances of it actually getting reversed are MINISCULE. The reasons most people have a punishment issued to them is: For some form of cheating (ddossing, afk farming, win trading). (95% of the time will result in a Ban) Playing with cheaters (paying for a carry, sharing account info, or staying in a lobby with a cheater for too long and benefiting from their illegal actions). (Bans or Restrictions can be caused by this) Or having consistently terrible internet connection that it affects OTHERS players and not just yourself. You may be playing fine. But to others you may appear as an unkillable red-bar. (This 95% of the time cause Restrictions) For most PC tagalongs: They are banned because SOMETHING installed on your PC (ACTIVE cheats for D2 or other games can trigger this) was viewed as a POTENTIAL threat to D2 and those are PROMPTLY BANNED.
