so give us a list of weapons being tapped out. so I can make more room in my vault now
-
Trials coming back? Toxic levels around this forum are going to raise insanely.
-
11 RepliesWhat time did you spend on weapon balance? Nerfed the only good weapons that shut shotgun apes down. You should just call it Trials of Sparebenders because those are the two guns that about 95% of the player base will be using.
-
Nobody cares. You're implementation is garbage with this no max Power Level crap. Trials will be the weekend playlist for all the no life PvE players to get even more pinnacle gear.
-
I like the light advantages but make it sbmm instead of cbmm. We all know the horrors of classic mix.

Season of worthless is more like it...

Please disable the artifact but leave light levels enabled. Thats my only concern. Im an average joe who loved the whole trials experience of d1 . (To clarify, i only went flawless 3 times back then, i am not some pvp god who stomps every lobby.) However, with light level enabled (which i agree with) those who are able to grind pve the most will have an overwhelming advantage over those who cant...look at the first iron banner of each season for an example. Those of us who dont have much time to grind power can still compete, but if the artifact is enabled then only those who can spend lots of time grinding pve will be able to compete. Trials will be about who could grind those power levels the longest instead of who are the best pvpers. Its really frustrating to play in that first banner of the season, to loss to people who i can outplay, but beat me simply because they are higher light. Without the artifact to worry about, those of us who have less grinding oppurtunity can still be high enough light to actually compete even with max light (minus artifact boost) guardians. Cheers for reading.

15 RepliesThanks, that video gave me all the motivation I need to quit this game for good. In a nutshell you basically said you're going to go back to balancing the whole game around Trials. I'm not going through nerf train 2.0. Keep it, I'm finding a game that actually understands what an MMO is. This is a looter/shooter with little loot and even less worth chasing.

I’m upset but yet glad is coming back , the reason I’m upset is I thought the trials of the nine was a crazy awesome design and I loved it (yes it was not as fun as old trials but still) I loved the armor the trials guns EVERYTHING I was looking so forward to getting my flawless gear finally after they took it away and no I can’t and the times I went flawless and did all those challenges to get the ornaments was for nothing... If anything at-least let us be able to use those ornaments for any gear if you’ll never bring back trials of the nine please bungie do it for the players who worked so hard like myself...

2 RepliesWe are excited for trials to come back. Please do not allow the artifact to create a huge disparity for power levels in trials. I'm ok with increasing my light level by playing and grinding, but if this seasons Iron banner is any indication of how unbalanced light levels can get by artifact grind artist, I do not want any of that. Iron banner was not fun, I was 977 or so, and was getting 2 tapped by 1000 light level guardians. That is not fun or challenging. This playlist should be about skill and talent instead of having to depend on heavy or spamming shotgun, or oneshot weapons to survive against higher guardians. Please dont ruin the fun for us.

Artifact should be disabled in trials completely. Mods, light level, all of it. Not a brilliant idea
-
10 RepliesLL Enabled = Trash Should be about skill and not bounties. How disappointing. Seriously
-
I'm level 930. But -blam!- it. I'll play against a level 1000+ player. I'll reach it eventually.
I'm only doing it for the Warlock Jackal helmet.
3 RepliesOkay so, couple of ideas. First off. I love trials. I loved trials in D1, and tbh. I didnt mind ToT9 (apart from the changing gamemodes) and i still have fond memories of them both. However, and i realise that Destiny has a bigger PVE base. I only enjoy playing PVP, i make group posts, i carry, and i just like to meet new people on this game and have Fun playing Comp or elim. I do all the bounties for cruicible every week/day. But loading into iron banner i found that one person was 45 light levels above me. (I was 974) recently i have begun doing pinacle PVE to up my light before trials (which i am looking forward to) however. I realised that. I will still be stuck in the same situation. Playing PVP, and getting to trials and seeing people 10-45 levels above me cuz they grind bounties in PVE. I would be happy if bungie outright removed the artifact power benifits in the cruicible playlist, effectively making there be a level cap but where you still had to do pinacle activities, but with less of a 'I play the game more' advantages. Or. Adding a seperate PVP artifact. That only worked in PVP. Making it so that PVP and PVE activities were seperated. If you grinded PVE, you arent better power than someone that only plays cruicible and vice versa. (Or simply making PVP bounties worth more as there is less ways to level in the game mode) I think i would still play trials. Just for the challenge, if it did come out with the artifact levels still in place. Because it is still a gamemode that i enjoy. And i absolutely love the D2 community. But idk. Seems to be a little bit unfair to allow people that barely play PVP to do better than people who do. Even if they play the game the same amount. I dont get rewarded in PVE for playing cruicible. Though i get that PVE is destiny's primary gamemode. And i am kinda the minority. But this is a PVP related issue so. Why not. Sorry for the ramble.

Hope the power level is at least capped
-
Please if you can disable the light cap on trials or just take out the artifact light advantage, we don’t need that crap at all. How is it that you will have noobs that will be light level 1000 and outgun you just because they have a better light then you. I know you’re going to start it like this regardless but it would be the best for everyone.
-
2 RepliesThe artifact level increase should only apply to PvE activities since all of the perks revolve around those activities. PvP activities should be capped at the Pinnacle max level (example: 970 for Season of Dawn). The bounty system to get ridiculously high light level for Iron Banner was not the best idea. I guarantee a majority of the community, after the first month of grinding, stop collecting the bounties for Vanguard and Gambit after they complete the triumphs, with the exception of the crucible bounties each week.

1 ReplyAbout power level advantage it should be capped by armor and not be affected by the artifact. Just bring trials back how it was in d1 because last time you tried to change the way trials worked it literally killed the game mode. It just goes back to the old saying if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. I don’t think this is something you should wait to see how the artifacts power affects trials and then make the change we all want a whole season later just put a cap on power level in trials from the beginning.

15 RepliesI have respect for Luke and his friends practicing for hours and then spending all night every Friday night playing trials and I'm glad that was a good experience for them... But many of us (1) don't have that kind of time to commit, (2) enjoy playing by ourselves more than in groups, (3) consider finding a regular group in a game we play for fun to be a job/obligation, and (4) can't play on weekends because of family (that's bringing in a different issue but I wish trials weren't exclusively Friday-reset. I don't think bungie is under any obligation to me to address these issues... I don't by any means deserve the experience I want. I just think if these issues could somehow be addressed or considered, a larger portion of the player base might get engaged. Still, congrats to all those looking forward to having trials back!

49 RepliesEdited by Jet2Holiday: 2/26/2020 5:28:12 AMTrials of the Streamer. Trials of the Recov. Trials of the Professional Guardian that can Grind all Day Every Day Because it is Literally Their Job. Can't wait to go against professional video game players. Amateurs vs Olympic Level players.

D2 PvP has been crap all along. Throw some more fuel on the dumpster fire...
-
This is going to be just as bad or worse than that season you guys decided to base completely around gambit. You guys are loosing so many players and you still can't figure out why. Then I'm told about all these nerfs that are just going to make things worse again. Hell despite barely playing the game these past two months I've still probably played it more than the team that makes these decisions. You guys really just need to get a clue.
-
The difference is D1 had a light level cap. You couldn’t go past the cap until a new DLC rolled out. With d2 the seasonal artifact has no cap. So someone out there can just farm light level until they are 100 light levels above you. Then they could body shot you with a high impact sniper or with no damage buffs in trials. I am fine with light level being a thing as long as there is a cap. They said they wanted trials to be fair and balanced but that rich guy that has no responsibilities or that streamer that it is their job to play can just farm light level. There should be a 10-30 light level range and cap each season.

So ToO on PC and my old pals have already shared on how it can be unbalanced... now admittedly I can use some of my non gaming skills to enhance my weapon stats in this environment... yummy. There will be a new surge in carry service on PC. This sounds fun.

2 RepliesEdited by Shred: 2/27/2020 12:50:50 PMI'm sure trials is going to be exciting... But especially with card based matchmaking I'm worried about it only being a good experience for the elite. I'm not saying those of us below that elite level deserve any particular rewards or experience... I'm just suggesting I'm worried it won't be attractive to us (not rewarding or fun) and so that whole portion of the player base will not play it.
