Hunters have an escape ability. I’m a Warlock main obviously but when I play my Hunter it’s not that I get more kills it’s I get killed less. Warlocks and Titans can’t react as fast as a hunter so in 6v6 hunters have distinct advantage. That advantage goes away....for the most part.... in 3v3 or rumble. Heck I get to 5500 in comp as a Warlock using a bow but there is no way I can do that in 6v6. Here is the bottom line and take no offense to this: playing a Warlock or a Titan in PVP has a higher starring skill level than a hunter and it finishes higher than a hunter. Playing a hunter you and run jump and gun with a good way to get out of trouble very easy. Hunters are the easy button. You can’t do that with a Warlock. If a Warlock was a gun it would be a fusion. Has to time your shots, have to know the map, pre- fire and And constantly thinking about your next move. A hunter is recluse. Just run, hold the trigger down and spray away because you can always get yourself out of trouble no thought required.

I wish Bungie would notify us if a reply was edited, almost missed your changes. I'll have to take your word for it, I play on Pc so dodging only stops tracking grenades and not much else for me. I've been killed or precision sniped out of gambler's dodge quite frequently here. I'm pretty sure you can't react fast enough because Bungie doesn't want to separate ADS & hip fire sensitivity because it would negate traction almost all together as a perk on console. I'm all for you guys getting that change tho. I also use the perk but just for the +5 and hidden +10 mobility for ADS strafe speed. No offence taken, I've been recently up against a gunslinger controller user here and the knife magnetism caught me off guard. The thing curved half way in the air towards me, I went from "wow can you throw it further away from me" to "*surprise pickachu face* wait it hit me in the head?.... But I can't make it bend like that". I presume on console dodging and throwing knives is seen as a cheap gimmick like shoulder charge, pocket nova (the exotic mostly) and LoW is here on pc. That's why I don't see hunters usage as the problem but a symptom of it. Low field of view combined with low frame rates and lack of sensitivity customization all while on a peer to peer system, I can see them being more nimble and annoying. As for warlocks and titans in general I don't see them as higher entry level and skill ceiling lookin at the averages in win rate and kda both on console and pc. I see a radically different play style needed. For example on my warlock I play almost exclusively Ophedian but last Iron Banner I've seen an empowering rift Sanguine Chest piece user killing it. I've been sniped from the heaven's without even hearing them glide. And titans... I fear no titan but that super... The cornering speed scares me. Also I keep forgetting those hammers explode after a while or by the lightest of touches. They're slide shotgun the most here tho. Backup plan on high impact is busted regardless of platform tho.
