Baking 300+ cookies for a Legendary Ship...seriously?
So with the Dawning we get a lot of old content that Veteran players have played and acquired old exclusive seasonal Tess Eververse items that are now being resold, so any player can get. Meaning Veteran players get nothing to show off that they are VETERAN PLAYERS, but we also get a new quest that requires you to bake 300 cookies for a legendary ship and a perk on a exotic sparrow to make it better. I think this is absolutely insane, you’re telling me that you want me to bake 300 cookies to fix a sparrow to get instant transmat perk on it and get a legendary ship. At least make it worth my while, give the community something better for the ones who care about it and work their ass off, it’s absolutely not fair considering you just sell old shit that Veteran players once had that can no longer show they were here when Destiny 2 came out. Oh and get this, you also get a Bungie reward to print out a paper craft Dawning themed Ghost, amazing!! All that just for a sparrow mod, legendary ship, and printed ghost.
Please don’t get this the wrong way, but I love this community and I love this game with a passion, but it feels like Bungie doesn’t treat veteran players the right way at all, I don’t feel like I’m being rewarded for all the time and effort I put into this game when Bungie just resales all the seasonal items that players got exclusively. And also Bungie giving away exotic emotes that were exclusive to that season. (I’m talking about the “Six Shooter” emote, and also adding the “Giving” emote)
I’m hoping my message gets around and people get where I’m coming from, I may sound like a -blam!-, but I just don’t feel like Veteran players are being rewarded for always being there when Bungie always thanks us. That’s all I have to say, please like and share if you do agree, thank you for reading.

1 ReplyYeah dawning is just so.......😖 I have the cool sparrow from last year that looks like a sleigh. Not doing the grind this year. Essence takes forever to get unless you afk farm forges. I hate that they implement poor drop rates that make people go for hours afk because of boredom. I can see learning all the recipies. But I am never going to bake this much stuff unless more essences start dropping in regular activities while I am grinding all these stupid bounties to level up. I spend more time in lost sectors than anywhere else in the game. Guess what doesn't drop in lost sectors? Essence......go figure.

All seasonal and even content should be locked away after that season/event. If you didn’t play for it, you don’t get it. But Bungie loves smacking their loyal customers in the face.

Baked a total of 437 and counting. Most of that is from last year.

2 RepliesAgree, totally. Bungie can drop dead! Seriously. This is the only thing that might give Destiny 2 a chance. As long as Bungie exists, Destiny is doomed!!! I say Chemo!!!!

2 RepliesI had all of them baked from last year, so all I had to do was make the 6-8 specific cookies. Veterans got rewarded for being here last year and the new sparrow being super easy to complete.

I baked a lot last dawning and that counted towards this years quest....i love it when time put in gives back;)

If you did the sparrow last year you've already baked 150. It's just another 150 on top of that. STFU

I found out I missed a ship from season 3. Then I basically grinded gambit and control to reach legend, and by then I had enough essence to finish all weekly bounties. Got some decent rolls on cold front too. There’s a bit of comfort in knowing exactly what you’re dealing with

Finished and done best way is to do the baking between all three guardians.

Hehe I finished the step got the final quest and was done . Baked then all the last year .! :) I wouldn’t have done it this time if I needed 300 cookies ...

3 RepliesPersonally, I could care less about a ship or sparrow. If it doesn't shoot bullets I don't care. And Jack Frost's crappy Antiope isn't worth the time.

It counts the cookies you baked last year. I’ve made maybe 60 treats this year and that quest step is at 295 for me 🤷🏻♂️

1 ReplyWell, I believe they gave us Vets credit for last year cause I've got the ship and sparrow quest done an I've only baked around 60 or so this season. I know the emblem tracks lifetime and I'm at 370 right now.

Guess I was lucky. My cookie progress was already completed by default. I went mad crazy baking last year because the presents were dropping enhancement cores like 99% off Halloween left overs.

Bungie is trying to make the game have so much busy work that people stay off the forums. It's not working....

Its almost like... all new content was created to enforce peoples gambling addictions and push them further in their investments into a game that does not hold them in any higher regard for the money and time they already spent.
