I was reading the information on cross save and came across this question.
If I don’t own specific game content on one platform, can I use the gear associated with that content that I earned on another platform?
Mostly, yes. Players keep all their Forsaken gear/progress while playing on platform where they own Base D2 and not Forsaken.
The response to this was:
Exception: PlayStation Exclusives. Those can only be used on PlayStation until Shadowkeep launch. After launch, that restriction goes away. Also, users can’t play any Forsaken gated activities and new rewards will drop at the D2 Base power cap while playing on the platform that doesn’t own Forsaken.
My question is in regards to the boldened part of the answer. I'm moving from PS4 to PC. Does this mean that my power cap will be all screwy when Shadowkeep Launches on PC because on Oct 1 because I don't have a PC version of Forsaken as well? Or will I still be at 750 and receive awards at the appropriate level while playing? I ask because I have Forsaken and the Annual Pass on PS4 and went through all the content.

1 ReplyEdited by ADragonWithin: 9/10/2019 5:34:38 PMAs Cross-Save was enabled prior to the 50/750 boost we'll be getting with Shadowkeep, that line you have bolded is concerning the here and now. Right now, if you play without owning Forsaken on a platform after your characters have hit max level and power (from playing on a platform that had Forsaken), the max drops on the platform will be in the 380 range, as Forsaken is what raised the power level cap beyond that. With the release of Shadowkeep, the base is changing and that will no longer apply.
