4 RepliesForsaken was a solid 6/10. It turned Destiny 2 back into Destiny 1. I mean im sure its cheap now? Shadowkeep I would wait on. Wait for reviews.

Wait for shadow keep unless you ballin’ and got spare cash then I would get forsaken
-
forsaken is worth especially with the current pricetag

2 Replieswrong place to ask, lot of people in this forum are a cry baby's , they can't even read info , year 1 game was a trash not 60$ worth , now yes it is , you have to buy forsaken only if you want something from that, exotics raid loot etc

Forsaken is fun! Get it!

Honestly, I personally loved forsaken. If you want a great story with some of Destiny’s best content ever, I’d get forsaken now. If you are skeptical, which you’d have a right to be, then wait for shadowkeep and try the free parts of destiny. If you are feeling the game then I’d recommend gettting all the expansions so you can experience everything.

Now! Go, go go go go!

If year one made you want to quit then you will be back in the same position soon enough. How can I guess that? Year 2 sporting the same daily player numbers as year one. Edit: to be clear to the OP because some onlookers missed this part, I am suggesting you check out the free seasonal content first for a while and then decide if the base game that you will be playing the most (which hasn’t changed) is something you enjoy now if you didn’t then. Before you start buying expansions.

Wait for the reviews on Shadowkeep. Not the first week reviews but after a few weeks when it’s been explored more and how the changes have transformed the game. Forsaken is fun but it’s going to get the armor 2.0 changes and if that ends up being a bust that could affect the feel of Forsaken as well. Being cautious is a good thing especially if you’ve quit before.

1 ReplyWait for shadowkeep and get whatever bundle they have for a discount. Also stay off the forums. A lot of what gets said on here about the game is poorly informed
-
1 ReplyOnce shadowkeep releases all legendary gear (I think) you own moves up to 750 light.

I would just wait the month until Shadowkeep. Major changes are coming like armor 2.0 that will render most things you get now useless in a clue of months. Also, all your gear and characters will be automatically brought up to the 750 power level that everyone is at now. The only reason to play now would be to experience Forsaken and the annual pass, which WAS all pretty great content, especially compared to year 1, before jumping into Shadowkeep. Ultimately, it's your decision, but I don't think a no th will be enough time to do a that stuff if you want to play Shadowkeep right when it launches. If you are cool with doing a that during and last the launch of Shadowkeep, sure, go ahead. If you want to be playing Shadowkeep on day 1, wait. I do hate that people missed out on Forsaken because it was the best expansion in the series history by far. The dreaming city stuff, the shattered throne dungeon, a the raids...they were pretty much the best content we have ever had in Destiny imo. It's funny that people are mad about the "you had to be there" idea because I already feel that way about most of the series history...its not going to be any different for me in that respect.

Advice: play any future game coming out that will entertain you more
-
Wait for Shadowkeep and see if the game is in a state that you think you’ll enjoy playing. No sense in trying to relearn the game just to have to re-relearn it a month later.
-
1 ReplyMy advice get the Borderlands 3 DLC for $64
-
You might as well just wait for Shadowkeep. It is only a month away after all.
-
Wait for New Light
-
9 RepliesBuy Forsaken. Don’t buy Shadowkeep. Wanna play Shadowkeep? Boot D1 back up.
-
Start now cos anything u get drop will automatically be put to 750 light in shadow keep so good chance to start saving some shards, cores mats etc. Also will get u upto speed with the current game as its quite a bit different from those 300 days

Here is the thing... If you want to play the content, then get it. It is a good 4-6 week grind... Getting the weapons never hurts. The armor is now void due to the 2.0 system dropping with shadowkeep.. so your investment is more in just catching up with weapons... which leads me to my final point.. there are “good” weapons that you can get in forsaken, but you will need the season pass to get the best weapons of the year. With shadow keep, you will immediately be brought up to the current power level and you can play its content. Not sure how new light works with a ore-existing account... but if you wait for it, you would have 80% of forsaken for free.

Save your hard earned money and wait for another game to drop in the coming months
-
don't bother, you will just quit again
-
You can buy forsaken now if you want to dive back in or wait for shadowkeep if you want to wait for all the changes/improvements
-
Honest opinion get the free New light Oct to try it see what you think. Then if yes I am into this game then get forsaken and the shadowkeep.
-
If you got other games to finish, finish them or you can't wait hop in. Forsaken might be cheaper in October.
