Title says most, why not have the solstice packages have at least 70% chance of dropping the new armor glows? Esspecially because we can't use the old armor glows from last year, which should be useable on the solstice gear from this year.
edit: Thanks everyone this is the most up voted post I've had.

The loot that drops should be every legendary weapon and armor from season 1 to now. Minus the pinnacle and other legendary weapons tied to quests, but open world legendary loot should drop from the packages.

Edited by Balderdash1112: 8/3/2019 4:47:11 AMYea for sure glows should drop from this. No reason for them not to
-
2 RepliesI agree. I feel like there is a game loop problem with blues...they really serve no purpose. It would be interesting if they provided niche materials, or they came with at least one mod slot... something that gave them utility other than glimmer....

Never go full 👍

2 RepliesI don't even really like the gear with or without glow. I rather would have some awesome looking gear with glowing subtle elements and lines. Like a glowing tiger, dragon, snake, etc on the back or like lines like in the movie TRON. Some more evil looking armor would be nice too with more skulls, spikes, blood, etc.

It is when you consider how much of it you get, can dismantle, and then turn in the weapon parts for purples. I've got like...3000+ weapon parts just waiting for Shadowkeep lol
-
9 RepliesI've gotten 1 or 2 Enhancement Cores from just about every package I've opened. Who cares if they throw some blue junk in there?
-
Unless you're opening the 10 for your green armor set you really shouldn't touch the solstice packages until you get the legendary set. You can farm different rolls on the armor.

Edited by Optimus_immortel: 8/2/2019 12:06:35 PMIt's not about being treasure. These gifts are based on giving people resources
-
You're right....its the enhancement cores, weapon mods, and legendary stuff. The blues are just in the RNG mix. I've gotten 20ish cores, and a ton of shards from trashing gear. not to mention all the materials i'm getting that will be very beneficial.
-
1 ReplyIf you don't need the packages for upgrading your armor anymore, maybe wait to open them until you get a full legendary set. They'll sometimes drop different rolls of legendary solstice pieces. Or so I've heard. I don't know for sure.

1 ReplyEdited by Pure: 8/1/2019 11:32:17 PMThat's why they drop resources, masterwork cores, legendary armor and enhanced perks on Solstice armor, once you get them.... Why you are opening more than the required (5 i think it was?) for the quest step is beyond me.
-
Once you get majestic armor the solstice majestic set drop from the packages with different rolls
-
5 RepliesConsidering how easy they are to get and open, and considering they can drop some decent loot. It's not that bad
-
3 RepliesOnce you get majestic the package drop random rolled majestic so relax.

Edited by BC1 Edge: 8/2/2019 7:48:06 AMJust want armour for warlock and hunter - Titan who cares!

Lmao. Bungie needs a dictionary.

2 RepliesCan we all agree this event is a total grindfest for a sparrow? 🤷🏼♂️

Edited by GalaxySpider: 8/2/2019 6:34:44 AMFor Banshee, weapon parts are treasures =)
-
Because that means they have a 70% of not getting money.

Edited by murkypondwater: 8/2/2019 5:29:28 AMI’m saving all my keys and packages til after I get my legendary set, then open them all (since then the boxes have a chance to drop random rolled legendary Solstice gear with Enhanced perks). Edit: also, Masterwork cores. Also also, you’re correct about how glows should be included in the loot pool, but not a 70% chance. Given the ease of access to the packages, I’d say a 5% chance would be fair.
-
Save your packages simply due to you getting majestic drops from the packages.
-
It's treasure for me, because for some reason I'm ALWAYS broke. I need that glimmer.
-
3 RepliesOpen the ten you need for the armor upgrade then save the rest. Once you get the legendary armor then open them. They will drop randomly rolled armor with a chance for enhanced perks.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 8/2/2019 2:56:41 AMHmm, how long ago did Bungie say something about making things more meaningful? I can see collecting hundreds of more duplicates on top of the hundreds I have collected already before the event, and a tone of blues is so meaningful that I have so many choices and I don't know what to do. I can't even belives this event is call and event. What happened to the Bungie that had talent that cared about creating events that rewarded you for your time spent playing the event? I miss the old Bungie, this new Bungie is lazy.

So the legendaries, cores and mods don't count?
