I got it on my first raid.
Know what? I DIDNT DESERVE IT.
I've done over 2000 forges and guess what, no Jotuun or Monarque. Guess what, RNG SUCKS.
Don't hunt exotics, just play the game and you will get it eventually.
Beating yourself up over loot is pointless.

Yeah I would because I 100% don't believe that you have done that many forges and haven't gotten either weapon to drop.

Okay, but telling someone RNG sucks and ignoring half the points I made in my post won't solve things, I just want to play the game and be rewarded for such. I'm playing the game, but not receiving the reward, just like you. Exotics, challenges, raids, triumphs, and titles are a thing to chase, that is the point of a looter shooter. The chase. But make the chase at least have a potential end. And you are right, beating myself up over RNG is pointless, because I can't change it. That was one of my points. Thing is, I shouldn't have to, and Bungie CAN change it.

Why is everyone blinded by the NEED for an item. Ill get the Monarque or Jotuun eventually, until then i'm just enjoying the game. What would i do if i had every item in the game given to me on a silver platter? I'd probs quit out of boredom, with nothing to chase i'd leave and find another goal to go after. Remember, this game is slowly being remade for it's HARDCORE fanbase, something they messed up bigtime in D2 year 1. My personal take on the RNG drops, is that if you own every exotic in the game except for raid ones, Xur should give them in the fated engrams every week ONLY if you own every other exotic.

1) It's not need, it is simply a want. But that want is just another reason to play. 2) not a silver platter, I put in a lot of work for it, and so should/have others 3) I was there for Y1. and there are many ways to add in things to appease hardcore players 4) Hardcore DOES NOT = RNG and RNG DOES NOT = challenge. I want challenging mechanics just like every other hardcore player.
