The toxic BS has to stop.
Don't worry; I'm already prepared for the incoming garbage replies.
We're all angry about something in this game. Most of us are angry about several somethings. However continuing to sh!t all over anyone and everyone Bungie related is solving approximately NOTHING.
What motivation is there to communicate with us when all we do is insult and throw tantrums like a pack of idiot children?
Are there people in Bungie who don't deserve to be there? Probably, but most are there doing an extremely thankless job. And it's made even worse, because of this disgustingly toxic community.
We all need to make up our minds as individuals as to how we move forward. If you truly hate this game, the community, and the company maybe it's time to pack it up and move on.
Those of us that are stuck in for the long haul need to start approaching the problems in the game like semi mature people, and stop attacking anyone and everyone just because we're pissed off about things. It's counterproductive, and serves no purpose.

1 ReplyThey've got two words 'troll' and 'toxic'. They love throwing them about, specifically at people whose opinion differs from them. It's gotten kind of pathetic tbh. Learn what forums are intended to be would you. If you can't handle negativity and ridiculous responses to ridiculous statements, maybe get off the internet?? Right now it's you guys who are 'trolling' and being 'toxic', by asserting that anyone who isn't awed by this game shouldn't be here and isn't entitled to an opinion. You disgust me. As for the people at Bungie, are we meant to be bothered if their feelings are hurt over someone berating the feebleness of one of their creations?? Do they need constant praise, even when it is undeserved?? Grow up people, these people are rewarded financially for their work, most have zero integrity and so are not enamoured by praise for their work.

That’s why most people end up flooding the forum with a singular idea in a whiny and spammy fashion, because if they don’t then whatever they say will likely be forgotten about. What’s the point of spending time and effort into a post if there’s only a 1% chance anybody from bungie will notice it? I spent a decent amount of time making that post constructive and giving my ideas, as many people have done with other posts involving other issues. But there was no point, people who actually try to be constructive are wasting their time. What’s motivating them to communicate with us? No, it’s the other way around. What’s motivating us to communicate with them? Hell, they don’t even have an appeal system for if you get banned, which is the most basic form of communication! And most of the time you won’t even know why you were banned!

29 RepliesProblem is, plenty constructive criticism has been offered at every step of the way. Plenty of times, Bungie has chosen not to listen. Yes, this includes current issues in D2y1, y2 and D1 altogether. People stop offering solutions when they are ignored. They then move on. What you're left with is toxic "eff you's" that we currently see, and have seen in the past. In summation, Bungie ignores and/or disregards too much for too long. Don't be mad at the playerbase for this... be mad at Bungie.

I've been where you're talking about with Destiny myself. I know where you're coming from and guess what? I was playing the game way too much. When I stepped away for a while and started limiting my exposure.. guess what? None of the shit pisses me off. It doesn't matter and I think the game is pretty great so.... Change your habits and I promise you you'll see things differently.

For what it’s worth, the problem with Destiny is bungie still hasn’t actually defined what destiny is. Until the developers take an actual stance and say this game is going to be focused on x and they are going to ensure x is the best experience possible regardless of how it impacts other modes or my personal preferences, you wind up with a product that doesn’t really satisfy anyone. Even worse, they continually undo every positive change they make to appease either the top 1% or the bottom 1%. They give us challenging pvp quest, then nerf the weapons. Give us the unannounced whisper mission, and then nerf the gun... make a viable pvp warlock super, nerf it. On and on and on. Instead of a roadmap, how about just telling me you are focusing on a pve experience and will not be balancing around pvp for the next 6 months to a year regardless, so I as a consumer can decide if I want to invest in this as opposed to making random and arbitrary changes.

7 RepliesUmmm I have tried making posts using common sense and some what reason with trying to give a more viable solutions to nerfs and what have you. It gets shit on. I have tried making posts to give ideas to the game that would help breath more air into the game. It gets shit on. I have even tried keeping certain updates from happening knowing that it would make the game worse not better by giving better solutions to the problem. It gets shit on. I am currently taking needed time away from Destiny 2 and waiting to see how much more the game is destroyed while I'm gone. I'm playing days gone which in my opinion is ten times better because it's has zero PvP aspect to bring it down and everything that was promised was delivered on. But I don't hate Destiny 2. I'm just watching as the cancer takes over while bungie and the community burns the game to the ground trying to fix all the bullshit that was asked. Like the stupid not needed Destiny 1 weapon system back. Sorry not going to forget universal remote,matador,or party crasher shotguns running over PvP much like every shotgun at the moment in PvP for Destiny 2. I'm not going to forget hunter becoming the most underused and realitivly useless class in the game much like all the nerfs to every viable super that is a contender in PvP and ruining the PvE game play as well with said nerfs. An the list goes on and on. I was there when at every turn PvP was tuned and balanced while PvE suffered because of it. If you forget the past your bound to repeat it. So while watch the game burn I can't wait for the Destiny 3 banner to burn as well when that game is forced back to Destiny 1 standards.

If they would stop trolling us with bugs and glitches that are oddly fixed or not fixed in a timely fashion based on who it benefits, they’d get a ton less toxicity in the forums. Its very transparent, and shady af. Hate to say it, but they actually deserve the negativity right now.

To be honest; does Bungie have a playtesting department or a R&D? It’s like, you see the videos of Bungie employees saying,” players are going to do this, kill two guardians at once or wait until you see this exotic.” Then when it comes out, it’s like wth were they smoking.

You must be new here, at least back in the Deej days we got consistent back handed comments and jabs from Bungie, now it’s just silence. The current state of the community is largely due to Bungie’s abysmal communication and community management. We’re less than one month away from the next DLC and all we know is that Luna’s/NF are getting nerfed, that’s very worrying.

3 RepliesWhile I agree there is toxicity in the community I think the root of this is the decisions Bungie is making don’t seem to make sense and they don’t even listen half the time!!! How does Bungie thinking giving unlimited grenades in all game modes is a good idea or nerfing Luna’s howl and not forgotten when the real issue is bloom on console and they being the only viable guns. Bungie doesn’t listen at all I’ve seen people complain on and on about the maps in the game and I can’t think of a time they added a new map and the maps we have now are so lackluster there aren’t any maps that make me excited to play other then the remake maps I think Bungie is bringing this on themselves because of their stubbornness and refusal to listen.

3 RepliesI believe that to a great extent, Bungie themselves may have created this mess, because they seem to allow unlimited insults to be leveled at them, but sic the ninjas on people who insult anyone else. If you go BDF on some two-digit IQ crybaby and he reports you, you get banned. Report him, he probably gets off scot free because Bungie won't defend themselves against insults. Do that long enough, and the forum dissolves into a hatefest.
