What is your ideal Destiny ENDGAME experience?

I don't know how others would feel about my idea but I think it'd be cool to have weapon quests for a bunch of new weapons BUT the quests they have you go on are elaborate raid/ strike style missions that deepen the story as you go with lore and exposition along the way and mysterious clues that lead you to different places. An example would be traversing the mysterious terrain of the Nine in search of the Drifter who has mysteriously disappeared, all clues lead to the Unknown Space. It would be your job to find the Drifter but you encounter unexpected things along the way. I MISS BEING A GUARDIAN. Sure every single campaign besides The Taken King has been rubbish but i'd rather have a bunch of meh story missions than do CHORES for NPC's. Even exotic quests aren't fun any more. Kill this, kill that, collect this, go here. It's boring. Have us go to new places and explore extra areas of places that we may already know. You've already done it before. The Whisper quest was awesome. The Shattered Throne too. MAKE MAX LIGHT LEVEL MATTER. It's always felt like a number. Give us one or two perks that reward us for grinding up to max LL. Half infusion costs, triple enhancement cores, higher chance of earning exotics, higher chance of earning god rolls. The possibilities are almost endless and it would provide a much better purpose for getting to the higher light levels. PLEASE BUNGIE. This Annual Pass EXPERIMENT that you've had us pay for is clearly not working. How bad is it that your intent was to provide a lack of content drought and instead you disappoint the fans by giving us the similar things we've been doing since the start of the game. I love Destiny. It's for the most part been a bumpy ride with an awesome experience but what it's turning into is completely splitting the already small community that ended up staying. Loads of players are leaving and it feels as if all of us are being ignored. Even though this is all true Destiny will not die for a very long time. People will return before a major content drop but if that content drop is rubbish (like the AP has been so far) most will stick around only for a few days. Destiny will eventually see a bigger decline in popularity than ever before. I guess I'll just go back to PVP which is okay on PS4 compared to the hell it looks to be on PC which itself is already looking like an almost suicidal competitive grind experience. I know I went off on a tangent there but what's your definition or perfect idea of an Endgame experience for Destiny?

      • 1. All end game activities can drop light level appropriate gear randomly, which makes the grind more interesting. 2. More end game content. More strikes, more heroic adventures (use the games massive treasure trove of lore). 3. More activity dependent gear. The new gambit gear is actually a great idea. A self contained game type and method for farming that varies it up. We need stuff like that for ALL of the game types. Vanguard gear should give buffs in strikes and nightfalls. Leviathan gear working in all the leviathan raids was great. The Reverie Dawn gear is great. Destiny 2 does it sometimes, but it'd be awesome to get it for everything and give us a reason to save armor pieces as well as weapons. 4. Mayhem needs tk be enabled at all times. 5. More weapon quests with lore. Those are my personal favorite (except when they make you grind PvP a bunch. How do counter kills in crucible factor into the hive rituals that have us chasing last word? Ugh). 6. More hidden stuff. Don't tell us about it, just put it in there. Give us stuff to find in this massive universe. 7. Gear balance your freaking early game stuff. Lost sectors and public events on older planets still drop 380 gear. Ugh lol. 8. More rewards for competing triumphs. Every like 5 we should get an exclusive piece of gear, ship, sparrow, shader pack, whatever. Having almost a thousand triumphs and hardly any rewards for them sucks. D1 had rewards for its "triumph" mechanic.

In of D1 endgame. AoT Every raid was viable and had unique enough gear to warrant chasing. What Id like to see is with every major release (e.g. forsaken, TTK, and RoI) any previous raid drops should be bumped up to reach the level recommendation for the newer raid. For example when forsaken came out, Leviathan, EoW and SoS should’ve had their max level drops increased to 550 to help people get raid ready. It just always feels bad trying to grind to be raid ready only to get a 335 drop from EoW

Endgame should be when all mechanics and features introduced come together in creative ways to test your mastery of them. No more new ones just purely ones the player should be familiar with. Unfortunately there's little to master in destiny, it's just numbers. Actually a single number. Donkey kong tropical freeze is a good example of how it is done correctly. Nintendo in general nails this pretty much constantly.

              • It would be and prep for an activity at the end of something like a quest and be something story, or theme related in this case. It can’t be there just because

              • Bung's endgame is repetition, bugs, bad decisions, poor matchmaking, horrid RNG, bugs, repetitive content, buggy content, power creep and buggy content.
