Hi. Thanks for your report.
If your friend linked up or purchased Destiny 2: Forsaken longer than 7 days ago, they aren't considered a new player anymore and can't play the quest with you.

My friend tried to accept it as soon as possible after purchasing (he was refered, then he purchased and tried to accept and this situation was ongoing). The problem is that I can not refer any new firend since the system tells me that I have already refered 4 friends and he can not accept/decline my invitation which is still pedning on his site (we were linked but the link dissapeared just when he purchased Forsaken and tried to confirm purchase on Bungie site)

Thank you for the information. So, if you had sent new players links and then they became veterans as your friend did, I believe you won't be able to create more links. I'll have to send this in for an investigation to confirm.
