Same story as with gjallarhorn, nobody asked for it and you just done f ked it up. What you needed to do is make other specials viable not shi t on the only usable one.
But I guess it’s what’s expected from #Bungie nowadays. You guys peaked on Forsaken now everything is downhill...

26 RepliesEdited by Cinderchar: 11/28/2018 3:56:44 AMThis community is stupid and continues to let Bungie get off too easy. They basically took away a fantastic weapon to replace it with what? Nothing comes close to that weapon and people act like this was a good change because now we get to pull out those other half baked energy weapons we have to fill the spot. Nice job, idiots. Make Bungie create other weapons on par with Ikelos. Don’t let them just nerf the most viable thing in that slot and give us nothing back in return. These will be the same tools that will complain in a few days that nothing feels powerful anymore after they get everything nerf’d into the ground too. No wonder most vets were smart enough to not come back to this franchise.

Yes people asked for the shotguns nerf. And now, people are asking for lunas howl to be nerfed in a similar way, i suggest screenshotting one of their posts so when the "nk one asked for luna nerf" posts go up, you can have a little chuckle knowing who asked for it.

Edited by TheWagn: 11/28/2018 3:39:50 PMraises hand* Should have got this change when it went to special slot. Was fine as heavy but it invalidated pretty much all energy weapons in the game in PvE. Also was way overused in gambit.

2 RepliesEdited by TheWagn: 11/28/2018 3:31:33 PMLots of people did. They just knew they would be attacked on the forums. It invalidated a large majority of the loot in the game.
-
5 RepliesNobody needs to ask. Bungie makes the call here. We just get to agree or disagree.
-
2 RepliesI did. It was broken. Now it’s just really good.
-
3 RepliesWe all knew it was comming. Its not the worst nerf in the world.
-
2 RepliesI specifically asked them to nerf it in an email a month ago.
-
2 RepliesYeah nobody asked for Xur to stop bringing new items either so... Bunghole pretty much ruins anything that people like. And expects to be thanked...
-
I barely notice a difference. But, yeah, no one asked, but Bungie probably pulled out one of their famous Pie Charts and saw that the Secondary/energy slot was being utlilized mainly by Ikelos SG and decided it was for the best [way for us to play the game based on how they want us to play the game]

2 RepliesEveryone complaining about the nerf... I have a question for you. Have you actually used it post nerf? Cos the only real difference is that you have to punch, hold the trigger for 1 second (possibly less), punch, hold the trigger for 1 second (possibly less), rinse and repeat. Did the Last Wish raid 3 times last night, no problem. Essentially it's still the strongest energy weapon in the game, and Bungo's "nerf" pretty much did nothing. So quit whinging and just go use the damn gun already.
-
5 RepliesNo fun. It took me 95 clears to finally get it and I’ve only had it for about a month.
-
Ok so they buff everything around ikelos and we end up in the exact same place as we are now but they had to devote hundreds of man hours into making those changes which in turn takes time away from bug fixes and general improvements. I dont know why its so hard for people to understand that.
-
I don't really see a problem with the nerf. It gives me more incentive to use other really cool guns that are in the secondary slot now.
-
2 RepliesYeah the idiots who felt "forced" into using the weapon complained about it. It's like they couldn't figure how to switch weapons in the energy slot and needed the weapon to be nerfed so it would magically unlock that slot for them.
-
They're contractually obliged to give us a few big "Fnck You"s every now and then.. clowns dont want us to enjoy their game
-
3 RepliesMost of the power weapons asked for that nerf. They didn't like being outperformed by a special weapon.
-
4 RepliesYou cant read these forums very thoroughly. There were posts just a few days ago asking for this to be nerfed.
-
7 Replieslmao you people act like it's still not the most powerful special weapon in the game. This needed to happen because there was no other strategy for killing bosses and it made pve easy mode.
-
1 ReplyBungie mistook it for a fusion rifle.
-
1 Replynobody didn't ask for it either. I love having to only use that gun in my secondary. You can melee, shot 3 rounds, melee again shoot 3 more rounds. That is way to hard to do lol. you suck.
-
3 RepliesPvE nerfs literally make the least sense out of everything Bungie tries to pull...
-
12 RepliesEdited by ShaxxCousin: 11/28/2018 1:09:44 AMThis is messed up!! People spent hundreds of hours grinding for that shotgun for a reason! Not to have it nerfed later. What another shit move by Bungie. Now the much less powerful trench barrel will be on other shotguns? That just means the end of the Escalation shotgun. RIP. We grinded for nothing
-
Agree completely. I can't stand the PVE nerfs that no one asks for.
-
Nah the gambit crybabies did
