How about a theater mode for destiny. You complete an activity and go to the tower. You can access a terminal that lets you view all of your recent activities.
Uses:
Help players capture awesome or funny moments from gameplay.
People could make a cinematic.
Allow players to determine if someone was hacking before they report them.
Help find bugs in the game. Like say you spawn without any weapons. You go to #help and report the bug. The bungie employees normally will ask if you had any video evidence to help them. Now you will always have video evidence.

Bungie was able to make a really good theater mode for halo and I feel like they could make a good one for destiny.

1 ReplyAs much as I like the idea (Halo Reach was amazing for this, you could replay from any perspective, any person and anywhere in the scene), they really need to spend the money and replace the horrible inconsistent laggy Peer to Peer networking with Regional Dedicated Host Servers.

You can set the length of the recording before and after the commend in your Xbox settings and edit with free software from Microsoft right on the Xbox. Look in the Apps section for the name of the software, as it escapes me at the moment. You can also stream on Mixer and link to that. There's myriad third party hardware and software solutions for capturing and editing console play. I usually prefer things like optional matchmaking and clan management baked into a game, but recording, editing, playback, and hosting seem to be best handled by third party apps and services in this case.

Sure. But its Bungie. So nah.

3 RepliesTaco this is not lore. But I mean you have Xbox and ps4 recording software already.

I haven't read the entire thread but You do realize there is "Theater mode" already right ? I mean you've seen the trailers for the past... whatever long. That's what they use... they get a good coordinated team and... execute whatever the imagined trailer is. it's just not available for us

Easy to find cheaters

8 RepliesSounds great, but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

Bungie was able to make a really good theater mode for halo and I feel like they could make a good one for destiny.
Yeah, back when they cared about making a game, but this isn't the Bungie you kind of knew back then. This is a whole new crew that hasn't paid attention to detail other than the skybox. It's a good idea but that takes work and seeing what has happened with D2 so far since it's been released? it's not going to happen.

I can finally prove that I’ve been shot through a wall

I remember the first Black Ops on the 360 having Theater mode. I had a blast with it. I made a few clips of tomahawk kills that were cross map. What was nice is it was in game so you could reposition the camera and such. Can't do that with what we have now.

10 RepliesThe engine is already pushing consoles to the limit. There is no way a theater mode will happen.
-
Ya I don’t get why they don’t add a forge or theater mode.
-
That has a real good chance to cause destiny 2 to become real laggy and slow because everything would essentially be recorded. Because so much already can happen at once, I'm not sure that bungie can avoid that from happening. Otherwise I'm all for it.

Theatre mode in halo 3 was incredible. Such a good feature. I personally would love to see it in destiny. But I also see the argument that this feature could cause the game to load slower, I'm running Xbox one X too which in which anything in forsaken I hit load walls.

I would love theater and FORGE MODE. I made a lot of screenshots for my personal wallpapers with Halo's forge/theater. Id love to be able to do the same in Destiny. A lot of people have been asking for it since D1 days but I think it was kind of forgotten while we were just waiting for D2 to be fun. Too bad I can only upvote once.

Oh neat yeah that would be pretty cool.

Sounds fun Bungie - no!

Add a spectate mode! You can pick options of everyone, friends, or invites to watch! At first I thought this was to make it easier to make clips. For example, weapons wouldn’t show while you were exploring. That would be cool too!

2 RepliesSadly this isnt halo. Man they even took theater mode away from halo as well. Idk if 5 has it but I miss it
-
That’s a lot of data your asking servers to store. It won’t be done for that reason alone. Your console can record anyway.
-
Otherwise there is a button on your controller with share written in it, and in your console settings you can adjust the length of the clip. Isn’t that crazy huh?

4 RepliesThere’s a lot I wish they’d implement into destiny that they did in halo. Even going as far to say a forge mode to create community maps to add to the mix of maps in crucible. Fantasy? Yes. But I seriously miss that aspect of bungie’s Halo.

8 RepliesNo no no that's 2007 Bungie. Bungievision can't pull it off if they can't brag about it to their investors
