The One About Loot
Forsaken, what a fitting title, because that's how I feel after 1 solid month of playing this expansion. All three of my characters are between 599-600 PL. All I want are new exo armors...like the pvp breaking One-Eyed Mask, the Gambit slaying Shards of Galinor, or the incredibly useful Phoenix Protocol.
Look, I'm not expecting 1k voices after 6 raid clears I've already completed(I'm actually debating even doing my raid runs this week), but after 100 powerful drops and no D2 Y2 exos. I am, I hate to say it, over this game.
What's the drop rate from powerful engrams btw, less than 1%? It almost feels like they are setting up D3 for Pay to Win. Buyer beware.

1 ReplyIn a similar place, though I did get thousand voices on my first completion, so any complaints become null and void (all praise rngesus, ramen). I’ve dropped a titan chest and a hunter chest, neither of which I use. I’d very much like the hunter arms of galvatron and the titan arms of constantly-have-your-super-ness. I need the warlock chest of explode-y headness. I’ve never seen an exotic engram in the wild (I dreamed last night that two dropped in one strike and I even took time to record it). I had no idea that prime engrams could drop them.

This is it chief. I’ve gotten 7 exotics to drop since forsaken came out but only 1 was an actual forsaken exotic.

But I bet you were one complaining about Lott being given out to freely in vanilla d2. Truthfully it’s a lose lose for bungie, but I personally enjoy not having them handed to me.

The slowwwww march to max light with next to no drops so you have a reason to keep coming back? That "hardcore's dream" come true, and if the rest of the playerbase doesn't like it they can f*ck off because [i]this[/i] is how Destiny is supposed to be? Seriously (and seriously NOT trying to be a dick). Because if[i] you're[/i] burning out now at the top of the deck, (1) imagine how players who are struggling at half your progress feel, and (2) It was fairly obvious early on that the new progression structure was going to obviate large swaths of content once you crossed those multiple "soft caps" and making several sources of "powerful engrams" anything but powerful.

Pay to win in Destiny 2 already exists. The Korean version of the game features a vendor in the Tower that sells exotics for real money.

5 RepliesI have never had as much fun playing Destiny as I have had with Forsaken, but damn!- where are the exotics? I have all 3 characters between 591 and 595 and have done the raid, as well. I have 3 year 2 exotics after hundreds of hours of gameplay.

My exotics turn out to be duplicates. If they could fix that alone it would be a huge step on the right direction.

Once during starts selling new exotics it takes away half the problem but do agree they should shift the loot pool towards new drops if you own all the content.

3 RepliesEasy fix: Drop rate stays the same but whenever they do drop, it'll be something you don't have. Also, quest exotics should "NOT" be in the loot pool.

3 RepliesI find this interesting, because if you had these drop, what exactly would you be playing to acquire next? I'm assuming the answer is nothing as you eluded to since you are close to max level. I think you may have burned yourself out. Take a break.
