Ok, me and my friend always run gambit together and we keep seeing the same thing over and over that is annoying. How exactly are people able to kill a Primeval within the span of around 10 seconds (over-exaggeration but it definitely feels like it)? We have the general idea that the ideal team is most likely a titan/hunter running shattering or melting point (shoulder charge for sunbros), a tether, and most likely 2 blade barrages/goku beams. The general idea is a Primeval should be difficult to kill right? So why is this able to happen? Bungie, this kinda needs to be balanced. I'll take a damage cap of how much damage you can deal to the Primeval over people being able to kill a Primeval within less than a minute in my opinion. Either way, this seriously needs a fix done to it as well as the whole invader system (seriously, the "fix" done to sleeper did absolutely nothing it feels like).
Anyways, to answer this question of how to fix that issue with killing Primevals in around 30 seconds, how do you all feel this should be fixed?
Edit: To clarify for those of you saying supers are not cheesing, sleeper in gambit is a cheese weapon of sorts (takes 0 skill to use in Gambit, 1HKO, etc.). The tower you can hop up to in the raid Crota had in D1 during the bridge portion was considered a cheese spot. Cheesing doesn’t necessarily mean godmode or cheating. It does mean exploiting a method to do something extremely quick (30 seconds quick sort of thing) or in a way that poses little to no risk to yourself.

You ever play a strike with randos who die or take 20 minutes on the boss. Then a second team downs the boss before the adds even spawn in? Same general idea. There's a decent variety of ways to get there. Gambit even offers you an additional damage buff ontop of all the other methods by killing the envoys.

I always solo and have done pretty well in Gambit, but I got matchmade with a team of 3 one game who melted the Prime Evil in the blink of an eye. They had one titan with rally barricade, one warlock with the new rift super and all 3 were using Ikelos shotguns. We had a prime evil spawn and then it was gone.

5 Repliesyour upset the other team is working together to destroy the prime evil? There is nothing Bungie should do outside of rewards this team. Why do bad players always ask that good players strategy and tactics be nerfed. Bungie can't provide you skill or teamwork. If you would like to beat a team like this maybe you should devise a plan and execute it with your team instead of asking bungie to nerf your opponents.

2 RepliesThe answer is simple; there is no fix needed because nothing is wrong.

Strategy and execution should be rewarded. I tend to see blueberries attacking the prime prior to taking out the wizards, not using supers at the right time and simply acting alone in gambit. You will always loose to the team that knows what it is doing and coordinates.

Make sure to stack the Primeval Slayer buff. Kill the envoys that appear with the Primeval (taken Wizards, usually). Each one you kill adds another stack to that buff. Once you see it above x5 or so, go ham with your Supers and heavy ammo.

3 RepliesEdited by msqar: 9/26/2018 4:22:26 PMEasy, 1 melting point + 2 blade barrage => dead in 5 seconds or less. Although i dislike Gambit so much nowadays, it's full of Sleeper Simulant noobs that 1-shot you across the map super easy... it gets boring. The only day i do Gambit is for the stupid weeklies.. otherwise i wouldn't even dare to touch it lol. It sucks. Competitive mode is the wae.

3 RepliesHaven’t seen it before, but I know acruis, well of radiance, and tether make for one helluva melting combo.

4 Replies2 hunters running blades stack prime damage buff to 4 and both hit it with the super. It will have under 5%health everytime
