So don't grind for exotics. It's all about your mindset. If you go into every activity hoping for an exotic, you'll be disappointed 99% of the time. Just play the game for its own sake and the exotics will drop in due time.

The end game for every RPG game is have the better gear- best tier weapons and armor which here are the exotics, if your game have a -blam!-in dumb loot system is normal complain about it. The big problem here is you have 2-4% chance for obtain an engram and inside that engram are 110 exotics and some exotics have more chance than others, all RPGs games with small chance drops rewards you with a specific item, thats how you make a low chance specific item drop system, you are goin to farm the same mission over and over but you know all the time if somethin good pop up is the object you wanted, even if it took days or weeks, here you are grindin days for a -blam!-in lootbox with 110 objects inside and most of the time you are goin to obtain the same weapon you burned already 121312 times and the worst thing a -blam!-in lvl 500 heroic assaults have the same chance drop of exotics as a random public events but strikes are way more harder and took more time, pointless play strikes.
