Scout riffles need s huge buff!!!!!!

There is no way a scout riffle. Let alone with explosive payload or fire fly should be doing less damage then a hand cannon. I have said it before and ill say it again. The scout riffle game is broken in D2. Most the frames are huge and clunky they fire slow and have no perks. Or there short and weird and fire weird. There are a few exceptions. But not like the scouts in D1 they was freaking perfect. There the only weapon you never really nerfed or buffed. Maybe at the end of the life cycle. But they where well balance and powerful. There is no hung jury's in D2. There is no iron banner scout. With both fire fly and explosive rounds. Combos like that on a scouts what I loved about the first game. Everything in D2 is watered down. I gist got the two tailed fox. And was so juiced . though this things gonna be the new G-Horn. Pshhhh. It looks amazing. But dose not nearly snuff damage. Like everything in d2 you balanced it down to the point of dullness. Other the. The two rocket thing it might as well be a legendary

    Um hand cannons and sidearms have always done more damage than any of the rifles since you know rifles have double or triple the range of hand cannons and side arms and of course more ammo in the magazine. So no not really.

      In year 1 I only used 3 scouts (all the time, mind you!!). I used Mannanan SR4, Purpose, and Nameless. I like scouts but the ones that they have are trash... -Mida is trash now. -Polaris lance is only good in certain PVP areas -Skyburner's Oath could be good but the damage is terrible. Not sure if it was lag, but it took me 5 precision shots yesterday to kill 1 guardian in crucible. These were 5 immediate shots. That's worse than pretty much any scout rifle out there!! -Most Legendary scouts are of slow fire / high damage. I fall asleep between trigger pulls. ***its almost like they fear scouts becoming OP. Meanwhile I got 2 tapped from a Sturm yesterday across the map. It was the Towns map...he was camping in his spawn...I popped up on the ledge to snag the heavy (no red mark on my radar) and tap,tap. As I lay there dead like WTF, it showed me where he was at... I was able to get the heavy upon respawns and he ate a rocket immediately!!! They have overcharged handcannons to the level of Year 2 D1. As HC God rolls come out, I'll be doing less and less of PVP.

      • I agree with this. I have the new right side of wrong or wrong side of right, I forget which one it is. It’s 150 rpm and is meant to hit hard. it has extended mag, outlaw and rampage, these are a great combo of perks for a scout rifle in my opinion. After 3 kills this thing should hit like a damn truck. I feel that my Go Figure pulse rifle with zen moment and high impact reserves deals MUCH more damage per second. If the playing field was levelled and my pulse had outlaw and rampage then that scout is a seriously useless pile of garbage. Just wondering if the 180rpm and 200rpm scouts are just as bad? I know the slow firing scouts have always been bad so I don’t see it as a problem yet but if the others are trash aswell then all this armor I’ve been saving with scout perks on is just as useless as the weapons themselves and I’ll honestly be a bit heart broken.

        • While I disagree that scout rifles should be stronger or equal to hand cannons, it is a well established fact that starting from patch 2.0 scout rifles in PvE were nerfed when all other weapon categories received buffs. Consider this: a pulse rifle does double the damage per burst than a comparable scout rifle, while sacrificing just a bit of range. Currently, there's no place for scouts in PvE. if you are using one then you just wasting ammo on lowest damage possible, it is as simple as that.
