I’ve been doing that in my other posts as well. Roman culture. I compared the midnight coup to the coup organised by Otho against emperor Galba. Then compared the midnight coup to the Assassination of Julius Caesar. Japanese culture. I compared the worm gods to the Ryū dragon. The main reason I went for a reaching approach to Christianity is because it’s not easy to find the references. Also as a non Christian I only have the base knowledge [b]compared[/b] (see what I did there) to users like you, who have a full understanding of the religion and can call me out on holes in my writing. That’s the main reason you’ll find a load of quotes thanking users for there input. The idea of these posts is to let people learn about the culture. Learn about others and appreciate them, cause maybe they’ll learn to appreciate their own. That and I’ve generally enjoyed doing these posts and the responses are always at least 50% positivity. I’m not calling you out for being an ass. I’m pretty sure another user pointed out in another comment thread about me looking into the book of Enoch, which when I get back to England I’ll be looking into references and suggestions people have left.
