Not enough of a compromise?

Redrix’s Claymore will remain exclusive to Season 3. The Redrix’s Broadsword will be available through a pinnacle weapon questline in Season 4 offered by Lord Shaxx. To set expectations, here are the quest steps that must be completed in order to acquire Redrix’s Broadsword:

I hope it is real, maybe it will shut up the cucibabies non-stop crying about changes to the game which benefit the majority of players and effect the tiniest % when these changes get made all the time to people who care about other stuff. Then the same dudes crying now show up and call everyone snowflakes.

It’s actually pinned to the top of the destiny 2 forums. I know people kinda ignore anything pinned because bungie is a garbage company, and just in case Bungie does communicate anything they want to ignore it so they can say Bungie never communicates with us. Just a question out of curiosity. How do you feel if you can get the whisper of the worm gun and master work it in a quest where all you have to do is 15 strikes. ?

Wouldn’t care because I know this is how it always goes with Bungie. Everything eventually becomes easier and available to the masses because the casual and average player is what keeps the game alive. Not the 9,000 that got the gun. It’s just reality. Once they announced that is how few got the gun in season 3 everyone should have saw this kind of quest line coming for something equally as good if not better.

I see your point, but all I’m saying is if the broadsword is an exotic then there would be a reason to use the claymore instead of making it obsolete

For it to be comparable to the broadsword quest it wouldn’t be 15 strikes. It would be 7 steps and take multiple weeks not a few hours. Nice try though.

Or a lot of strikes if there were another way of doing it without skill but just a time requirement. While claymore takes immense time AND insane effort. Or just play pvp for a long time. Same concept. You trade the skill to get the gun for a time requirement.

I don’t care, I earned my Whisper like a lot of other people, but if they changed it to a quest of any kind I wouldn’t have a problem with it. I would rather see players who are dedicated to playing the game but don’t have a lot of time to commit to standing around on IO waiting for a public event spawn get it.

Whisper of the worm is a single mission, masterwork is just playing it three more times, I’d say 15 strikes is a ripoff honestly.

It would be fine by me considering I had fun every time I did something Whisper related and more people having access to fun things in a game is fun. Also I don’t equate my self worth with pixels on a screen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, I would be happy to see a new gun with new perks be a reward instead of a rehashed claymore. That said there is a caveat, if the season 4 sandbox would be unbalanced by claymore for some reason (seems unlikely) then yeah I think the broadsword and new quest would need to exist. That said I don’t really have a problem with the decision they made to try and improve the game. If less than 0.1% are salty about it (not all claymore owners care and a lot of them got it through paying money or cheating their way through) then I feel bad that those players are upset about it, but when I read all the changes, the reasons why, and the actual quest steps it becomes a non-issue for me.
