DSR is the worst remaster I’ve ever seen. It changes absolutely nothing from the original except for frame rate and the occasional lighting. No Omni directional rolling, there are still game breaking bugs, there’s still cardboard capes, the game somehow feels worse to play than the original, lost izilth is still garbage and a wasted opportunity AGAIN, but Blighttown is fixed.
That sums it up
Bloodborne is so much better

Your complaints about what's missing are consistent with a remake... not remaster.

He had an entire post where people tried to explain this sumple difference to him, he refuses to listen, and somehow thinks that one youtube video he replied with magically makes him correct (because obviously someone on youtube must have all the answers).

...... oh yes. I think I read that back n forth, now that i think of it.

Pretty sure remaster just makes it look smoother not change anything game play or animation wise. Maybe some games do change stuff but dark souls is a masterpiece and any changes would annoy a lot of the serious fans. Don’t fix what ain’t broke too

Edited by DUURJOB: 6/19/2018 6:07:40 PMA masterpiece wouldn’t have an entire area that was admitted to be rushed because of the release window with lazy design to simulate difficulty rather than actually be a good but fair challenge Do try to argue that players actually generally fight through lost izilith rather than just run through it (what everyone actually does) Yeah a remaster is supposed to make it run smoother. This somehow feels worse than the original. The original, I flew through the undead parish but in this remaster it completely -blam!-ed with my head because it felt worse and I hid behind a shield this time around because every moment felt...wrong. It’s hard to describe. I’ve never had to do that since the very first time I played this whole franchise when I knew nothing about it and I don’t exactly take too kindly to going all the way back to that especially after beating every single other entry in the series plus bloodborne
