The scorn are fallen zombies
Heavy: Is there a specific House these Fallen reside under or are they from different factions?
Taylor: These are part of what we’re calling the Scorn. They are reanimated. They’ve died many times and have been resurrected. They were Fallen at one point, but they have changed into something else. I don’t believe they are affiliated with any house. Is that right?
Barrett: Yep, they are a new faction, a new group called the Scorn. They have been resurrected. Think of them as Fallen zombies, Fallen undead – that kind of thing. So they’re going to be pretty terrifying. They have a lot of new abilities and gameplay that we haven’t seen from the Fallen.

7 RepliesWould like to remind the critics that... You complain about Destiny not digging deep enough into the lore. Then, when Bungie (twice) gives us our wish... Ice Hive and Undead Fallen... you complain that they are "just reskins". These new enemies come from within the deeper lore of Destiny. Remember that there is much we do not know about all of the enemy races we already have. Plus, the story now evolves based upon the actions of the Traveler. Remember when Osiris said "A living Traveler changes everything." I swear some of you will never be happy no matter what Bungie does... nor do you pay any attention to what goes on in the story that Bungie might use in the future.

Oo!! - Fallen zombies. Oo... Not to mention the deluge of copy-pasted ship, sparrow, weapon and armor models, some of which the only difference are small name changes and default colors. The copy-pasted missions (revisiting already explored/existing areas), dialogue, strikes, hilariously small mercury playspace with ONE public event, and Mars with copy-pasted D1 Warsat and D2 Hive Ritual public events (EP is cool though), 2 new D2 character classes (Captain America and Dawnblade mainly, since Arcstrider is a copy-pasted Bladedancer with a staff), the list goes on... GG Bungie creative team. GG.

18 RepliesIt is very possible that the Hive have something to do with the scorn. We also have confirmation that Savathun and Xivu Arath broods are in the prison, so it seems even more likely that the scorn could have either made a pact with the Hive gods or are being used as puppets.

So they were resurrected in their pasts much like we do now but they are now on their last lives as they no longer have the means to revive from light, thus they are fallen who have been scorn. Hope that makes sense cos I’m sure it is what they meant.
