Any drop or material/engram has a chance to be a masterwork. Trials and the Raid have the highest chances of dropping as masterworks.

Is there a way of getting more shards per dismantle? I ALWAYS get 1 per dismantle from any activity. Thanks also

Nope. It’s best to get I man the mindset that you’ll get one. Anymore is just a bonus :)

lol - I have dismantled 6/7 now and only ever get 1 each time. I haven’t even gotten one weapon upgrade and stuck at 7 shards.
