42 RepliesMy God. How clueless are the developers? Emblem variants? Decorate you Guardian? Seriously? Just for a moment, come back with me to Destiny 1. Remember the gothic horror and unsettling landscapes of the Dreadnaught? The almost-impossible Taken champions roaming Earth and Mars? The unrelenting random firefights that you could engage the Cabal with? What happened, Bungie? You really need to drop this 'we're going to communicate whenever possible' and 'be more open with the changes we're rolling out', and just sit down with your loyal customers and have something of a fireside chat. Level with us. How did this go so, so wrong? How did a fully fleshed out game (Destiny 1) that had hordes of enemies to test your mettle against (Archon's Forge) devolve into shaders and emblems and auras. Did you really think this is what your paying fanbase wanted? It's time to drop this 'one-sided' openness and have a live Q & A with the dwindling people that still care and answer the tough questions. Otherwise, you need to be honest with yourself-this game is done. To have a great roadmap to follow, a la Destiny 1-Year 3, and then release a horrible single-player story, boring and repetitive open world P vs E area, and a P vs P that the majority of players have abandoned due to 'balance', is ridiculous. In Destiny 1, every person, whether 12 or 70 years old, felt like an unstoppable hero waging a war against a terrifying group of enemies with the extinction of humanity in the balance. In Destiny 2, I'm not even sure if losing every battle we engaged in would make a difference in the narrative. Forget trying to create loot nobody wants-focus on the non-existent lore that used to drive the game forward. And for all that is Holy- PLEASE STOP trying to make a game that has the writing and narrative of a game meant for 10 year olds. Seriously Bungie-it's time for a live Q & A that allows unscripted questions and honest answers without the corporate mantras interwoven throughout them. Because what you have been doing isn't working.

Edited by xPLASMAx21: 3/2/2018 12:07:34 AMFaction rallies are a failed experiment - just let us pledge once a week like we used to be able to, because at least then I can get my awful weapon and useless Ornament in my own time. Nightfall doesn’t strike my fancy either - a solo slog for legendary shards or a fancy emblem to impress nobody. As for PvP, I have absolutely no motivation to participate in Iron Banner. The equipment isn’t worth getting (seriously... Ornaments?), the meta is staler than decade-old bread and it makes me feel about as powerful as an epileptic moth. PvP is no longer intrinsically fun to play, like D1 PvP and PvE in general, and there are no significant rewards anyway. Change is easy to talk about - I want to see it, feel it and want to play another match because of it.

10 RepliesIt is absolutely insane that the update didn't include any of these changes. Ability cooldowns need to be reduced to D1 settings. Less space magic isn't fun. The Vortex Nova Bomb needs a bigger blast radius. The Slova Bomb is buggy, and sometimes doesn't even kill enemies. The 'shoot' button during Stormcaller is buggy and non responsive sometimes. The same goes for the 'square' (PS4) button when trying to pick up an arc charge, revive, etc. If I'm holding the button down already, it should work. I shouldn't have to press it again. Bring back the primary/special/heavy loadout. The new one sucks. Our characters are slow, weak, and the hunter and warlock jumps are terrible. Bring back machine guns. Int/Dis/Str. Mobilty/Armor/Recovery adjustments should be put back in the skill trees like D1. Make tracking available on ALL launchers. Bounties. Stop designing your strikes in a way that lets lazy players just run past everything. Make shaders infinite use, and add a shader kiosk. Let us use our sparrow on Mercury. Tone down the teleport ability of Minotaurs and Captains. Add Death From Above(Striker) and Combustion(Golden Gun) to the skill trees. Make the Sunsinger super an option in the Dawnblade skill tree. Random rolls and better perks on weapons. Add some more legendary VoC/Cryptic Dragon design scout rifles. Buff Firefly/Dragonfly. Each season should add new weapons like D1. Not just re-skins. Make exotics worth using. Get rid of stupid perks like "reloads your sidearm." That's not exotic. ex. The Sunbreaker gauntlets should grant an extra grenade like they did in D1. Hire writers that actually use the grimoire lore in their stories. If 'important targets' are engaged in combat with a player, they should not disappear. Buff snipers in PvE. They can't even one-shot a shielded red bar enemy. Factions should be available all the time. Get rid of the pointless faction rally. Give Ikora a unique/better loot pool. Make her meditations worth doing. If we are at 334 light level, exotic engrams should decrypt at 335, not 334.

4 RepliesI’m done, I can’t take it anymore! Bungie continues to fix things that don’t matter to the majority of the community that still plays. Problems that should have been fixed months ago. Players still rage quitting 1v4 to 3v4 make it’s a huge disadvantage. I just can’t rap my mind around why today’s update was planned before the sandbox update. TIME TO MOVE ON!

3 RepliesEmblems lol you guys are just messing with us now
-
9 RepliesYou know, D2 fans have the greatest loyalty I have ever seen in a fan base. You guys get shat on more than the floor of an abandoned house by a pack of dogs, and yet you STILL give this company chances to keep crapping all over you without the curtesy of an explanation why. I am torn between admiration and pity.
-
1 ReplyDmg04 good to see that you guys are listening to your fans ... but instead of your ears you are using your asshole
-
2 RepliesWhy havent Luke Smith or Mark Noseworthy, the D2 lead supervisors, said a peep about the state of the game in the past 5 months??? If I remember correctly they were ALL TALK AND HYPE in the months leading to D2s release. So where are they now??? Like and sign if you want to hear from the D2 lead developers on the state of their game.

No one cares about emblems! Cmon! Elephants everywhere!

I can confirm, that today, after completing the heroic public event on Mercury, I did in fact recieve... 2 tokens and 2 blues. I was so excited I couldn't hit the share button fast enough. I will endeavour to keep my cool if this ever happens again. Probably wont- like that moment you bite into a KitKat and it's all choccy no biccy. Once in a lifetime. Sigh.

1262 people have read this as of this point. Zero likes. Bungie, when are you going to figure out that we are not stupid, and we are not fooled? Your claims of what will be coming (the roadmap) is nothing but a bid for time to stall as long as possible, hoping your players will keep playing, while you... what? What exactly do you do? Certainly not what you said, and absolutely not what the players have asked for. At least have the backbone to admit this rendition of destiny is a flop. You took everything the players asked for and wanted and shelved it all, then "reinvented" the game to give us zero control, zero progression, zero reason to keep playing. So I guess I shouldn't be too surprised at the number of likes on this week's "update."

This week at Bungie. No one is playing the game, we had our lowest participation in Trials. Pc gamers hate us and we offered new emblems to help lure people back into our boring game. As to be expected and keeping up with the D1 tradition everytime we introduce something in to the game we break other things. Can you find what we broke this time? Have fun guardians and by fun I mean don’t get bored.

2 RepliesEdited by ULiano_III: 2/28/2018 9:11:30 PMHow about an Emblem of “Time Waited in Matchmaking” Even better “Time Waited while being a Seeker” for Guided Games.

* Laughs in Warlock *

Can we choose game modes yet? If not, you are pretty incompetent at bungie

5 RepliesI really feel bad for the team at Bungie working their hardest to put these updates out. Especially it seems the direction that these work is done is not the right one and definitely not going to bring players back. It’s just all these time and effort wasted. It is going in the right direction but it seems the ship wants to steer off course before getting back on the right course. Auras, emblems are not what your players want. They want to feel powerful and gears to look out for to make the players feel progression in game and powerful. We need meaningful loot. Things to hunt for and play for. Progression. The 5th Better Devil needs to be better. Some form of gear complexity please. The mods are a good start make them work.

11 RepliesSo with the nightfall changes, where does that leave the rat king quest?
-
5 RepliesWhen’s Gods of Mars coming out?
-
If y'all can fix the respawn bug on both the raids so they aren't broken as -blam!- that'd be great.
-
Lmao yesssss ive been dying for the emblem variants discussion. Cannot wait to check em out. You guys have finally got your shit together. Woot woot

Can the next TWAB include A statement to the community as to why we shouldn’t walk away from the game. Seriously say something to address the gaping hole in the ship address the fact the playerbase is down in the dumps and give us something to actually be excited for. Emblems Aren’t content they’re just cosmetic accessories that look sometimes unique doesn’t mean I’m going to log in and farm the ever living shiz outta the game just to get an emblem. Put the content first worry about the shiny stuff later

1 ReplyEdited by KllerJ: 3/1/2018 3:31:51 AMI can picture how this meeting went. Destiny developer#1: "guys the game is tanking and all of our shitty band aid fixes have failed." The chair at the end of the table squeaks as it slowly turns around Luke Smith slowly starts chanting "Emblems.... Emblems...." More of the destiny team in the meeting join in on the chant and with each subsequent member joining the chant gets louder and faster. " Emblems... Emblems.. EMBLEMS, EMBLEMS,EMBLEMS." All of a sudden the chant stops amd a lone voice soflty whispers "emblems....." The team all congratulate each other on their new game saving idea and quickly get to work on implementing it.
-
Why are the NF rewards RNG for the emblems???? This makes nosense at all. How can you show off how well you did if getting the emblem isnt 100% attainable. Bungie. Please start to think more about your updates and what makes sense NOT just make it up and hope it works as intended

6 RepliesYou guys have to admit that this is pretty funny. “Additionally, Exotic weapon and armor sandbox changes have been delayed to Destiny update 1.2.0, to grant proper time to test and implement these changes.” lol at Bungie of all people claiming a delay in the interest of properly testing and implementing new changes. When has Bungie ever been concerned with such issues. They’re the kings of releasing poorly tested updates and their track record has proved that time and time again, but now all of the sudden we’re supposed to just forget that little fact. Those cats over at Bungie are plagued with laziness.
