The playerbase is already shriveled up to almost nothing, now you have a DLC paywall separating the players that are left. Nobody is buying it, more players of the base game will leave since you've removed content and DLC players are going to walk away in a week when they get tired of walking around MERCURY!. Not to mention your PR is in ruins
Give this DLC away, get millions of players back, fix your sandbox and maybe there will be players left when you want to sell your 3rd expansion.

Just like shaxx would say "Uh oh"

i hate the base d2 game. i would not play the dlc for free. its a hollow empty shell of its former self made for zombies with no thumbs.
-
Or just make them cheaper. I'm not gonna pay $20 for it. I would if it $10. Working for my money I'd rather put it towards something better. I haven't logged into destiny for a good while. It took me a little bit to realize what bungie is up to. But when I did see it.... there's no unseeing it. It honestly disgusts me now to see what this game has become and the direction it is going.
-
Sigh. Activision / Bungie have never given DLC away for free and they never will. And while I think Destiny 2 is mostly a joke, I think anyone who expects them to give it away is is foolish. Like it or not, they run a business that ultimately means they make a product and try to sell it to you. Doesn't have to a high quality product - doesn't have be product that even belongs in the marketplace. But its up to you whether to buy it or not. And you either want it enough to pay or you don't. I fully expect that not many people will be willing to part with their money for this DLC cash grab. And Bungie will learn a more valuable lesson from players abstaining from buying it than they will from handing things out for free and seeing a handful of desperate players coming back because it didn't cost them anything.
-
Just add this new DLC to Destiny 1 at least people will play it. It's just sad all the things they did in Destiny 1 they went so far and now it's just they came to a stop!

Why?
The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.
Bungie: give CoO free to everyone, refund season pass holders and get this player base back together before there is no player base left
Sounds like someone doesn't have enough money to buy Curse of Osiris ha ha!
-
Destiny 2 is having problems on Xbox, due to all the refunds being processed today they are speed patching the game to stop any more refunds, lol. Oh Bungie you greedy Buggers.
-
Even if you give people refunds they wont come back. So lose a bunch of money for no reason? LMAO

Edited by CronoBoh: 12/7/2017 6:27:26 PMI'm really struggling to find the motivation to play D2 anymore. Last night I finished the dlc campaign but it was completed out of stubbornness more than anything. I had a lot of fun with D1 so I put my faith on Bungie for this game by preordering everything, but now I feel that I made a mistake. If I continue to play is only for the hope that this game will get better, but in reality I feel let down by Bungie.

4 RepliesI'm not sure even this would save this game. My entire clan was chatting yesterday because most of them forgot a dlc was coming out. The general sentiment was that nobody cared or had any interest in bothering with it. Pvp is bad. 2 primaries is bad. Casual leveling is bad. Exotics are bad. Raid is bad. Skill trees are bad. No random roll weapons are bad. Lost sectors were a missed opportunity. Economy is broken. Coins suck. Rewards are #twotokensandablue No strike specific loot. Slower ability recharge is boring. There is just so much wrong with the game that I'm not sure free dlc would bring people back.

14 RepliesEdited by NastyNati0527: 12/7/2017 1:42:29 PMThis DLC is a joke. The infinite forest has 3 missions LMAO. They should of made the 3 areas a horde mode with boss fights, and specific gear to earn. Later on added they could of added more areas, like dark future Mars, past Venus, etc. Would of had a lot more replayability. They only made the 3 Mercury adventures heroic, all of them should be heroic. Mercury is so small, it's like why even add it. Mercury should of at least been the size of Io, they could of put a portal in the lighthouse that takes you to past Mercury patrol and another portal that takes you to dark future patrol. We got heroic strikes and they forgot to put modifiers on them, face palm. Keep buying all that eververse loot, all the toys, other merchandise, and for sure give them your money for the new Alexa ghost LMAO. Making so much money and they give us this half assed uninspired "expansion". $$$ I really hate to be negative, because I love this game, but this crap is unacceptable.

1 ReplyI don't want the DLC free. I would rather pay for an awesome game, but Bungie does not want to make an awesome game. I will reinstall D2 if Bungie separates PVP and PVE and buffs PVE abilities, gear, and guns. It just isn't fun to play.
-
Locking vanilla D2 players out of the raid is disgusting. As the only one out my friends with the expansion it's become boring not being able to do certain things with them now
-
Edited by Shaft62702: 12/7/2017 6:23:49 PM2 million PVE players online yesterday. The only thing shriveled up is your wallet apparently. Don't blame bungie because you are broke.
-
They can’t. They tried to do that before, Activision blocked them not even 5 minutes after they announced it. Guess they weren’t getting enough money scamming 10 year olds.
-
5 RepliesI bought the 100 bucks edition, didnt play destiny for 2 months, yesterday i connected and i saw only 1 friend plauing it (on pick time) i play only the first mision of the dlc and left, it was so fu*** boring, destiny is death for me because 1 of 47 friends that played destiny 2 was conected playing the dlc that is about 98% of my destiny friends dont play it anymore including me, i want a refund, and is almost imposible to get it, if year 2 is another dlc like TTK in d1 i think 0% of the people i know will buy it ... Destiny is dead

1 ReplySPOONS PEOPLE SPOONS, WE MUST STORM BUNGIE HEADQUARTERS ARMED WITH NICE SHINY SPOONS. then raid the closest taco bell for all the diablo taco sauce.
-
1 ReplyOp also likes to fart in the wind. It has the same effect on Bungie that this post has.
-
1 ReplyJust because youre cheap and self entitled doesnt mean they should give you things for free. Just neans you need to grow up
-
Did you ever play D1, they did it then, no suprise now.
-
8 RepliesYeah I’ll take a refund. The CoO was rubbish. Easiest boss in the history of video games, smallest new map (Mercury), no payoff at the end like where’s my loot? Seriously do you guys not even read what the community is sharing? What a disappointment.
-
Bravo! Bravo!
-
You see, I don't think you understand the way an economy works. While they should allow you to play original content without buying CoO, asking for more stuff for free is kind of ridiculous. Regardless, they won't do it because they won't make any money.
-
Op: "My friends list is empty and want everything for free meh." I see where you are going with this but I think that wouldn't work that well. In most people's eyes this game still has major problems. I for one enjoy it. However if most people left because the game is a bag of shite... then imagine if someone said hey you want a bag of shite for free? I can't think of anyone that would say yes.
-
They need to just bring back all the advances they did in D1 that made the game great and then the player population would come back. If destiny survives D2 and they make a D3, I will definitely not be purchasing that game until some serious reviews have come out after releasing.
