They wouldn’t freeze or pause though. Same thing happened with Oryx approaching Quria; Quria just had to stick with processing what it could understand rather than what it couldn’t. Even if this isn’t the case, if what he saw was able to scare him that much then he probably would’ve been killed by whatever was on the other side.
