PC Crashing after hotfix (11-2-17)

After about an hour of two of gameplay, my game just freezes and force quits without any errors or "searching for solution" message. This has happened multiple times since I've had the game and is especially frustrating when trying to do the raid. Specs: Processor: i7 7700k Memory: 32gb of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 (At ~29% usage while running D2 from what I see) GPU: GTX 1080ti The game is running on a HDD while my OS is on a M.2 SSD (Not sure if this matters) I have tried restarting my PC, updating windows and my graphics drivers, closing some extra background programs. Nothing seems to be working though. Thoughts?

  • It's SLI again ! Game is now only playable without crashes, if I completely disable SLI via NVIDIA Control Panel. Other Games, all of them, are running fine with SLI enabled, even if they do not support SLI. As a reminder, SLI-Support was advertised and still is advertised as part of the game: - https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/destiny-2-pc-beta-keys-hdr-sli-geforce-gtx-bundle - http://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-on-the-pc-will-support-sli-and-hdr-displays/ So when can we expect SLI to proper work again as it was at launch ? :(

  • Ok, now I have random crashes in-game, which I didn't have at launch. Unfortunately it looks like it, that one thing get's fixed and another thing get's broken. So it's still not playable for me. I finished the SP-Campaign before Patch-1 and couldn't play since then. The first DLC will drop in 18 day's and I couldn't even try to play all the special stuff yet, like Raid's etc.pp. After paying ~140,- bucks for this mess, it's just not good enough ! :(

  • Ok guy's, for me it's SLI, so what did they do to -blam!--up the SLI-Support, which was a major drawing-card for me to get the game, and who was it ? Bungie or NVIDIA ? :((

  • Thoughts? Yeah, beg for a refund. Bungie will never fix this game as they are simply not capable.

Mine too, which is bloody great ! :( Spec's: Click DXDIAG: Click Scan / Repair via Battle.Net-Client didn't find anything. The Game ran perfectly before the latest Hotfix. Thanks for wrecking my weekend. :( The crashes when starting the game are completely random: - straight a black screen and whole system is locked-up - reaching the first part of the white welcome screen before it stops working - reaching the second part of the white welcome screen before it stops working - game actually starts and I would be able to play the game, but that happened only once so far :(

    • Fixed so far no problems after 2 hrs of play but still getting the shuttering that everyone else is getting but at least it’s not crashing like before CPU Intel 7700k 4.6 oc GPU asus strix rog 1080ti custom settings 120-100fps RAM vengeance 3000hz 32gb xmp profile before the patch I wasn’t having any problem playing for long periods of time after patch I was getting random crashes anywhere from 1min to hr of playing so I was troubleshooting all day. I then decided to play Witcher 3 to see if it was only destiny that was giving me problems and it happen a min into Witcher 3 Long story short after clean install, asus tech support, hrs of forum surfingand YouTube this is wat worked for me so far 1. Flashed the bios to latest firmware 2. Clean win 10 install 3. Installed DDU (display Driver uninstaller)tutorial is on YouTube 4. Went back to Nvidia driver 388.00 5. Reseated the GPU (pulled it out cleaned it up and put it back in) 6. And this could be the problem with the latest patch I disabled g-sync (not knowing anybodies monitor but maybe if u disable your vsync, gsync, freesync manually this might help) I hope this helps someone

        • Haven't been able to play for awhile now. The game only crashed a few times the first couple of days but now it crashes every few mins. Unplayable for me. Windows 10 fully updated, Nvidia update, game updated.
