Not an atrocity. It's following the same game plan as destiny 1. Slowly release content that should have been included then in it's final years everyone will say how good it is. Exactly like destiny 1. History is repeating itself

Edited by coll9502: 10/17/2017 11:34:37 PMexcept the fact that activison has to realize that well a good way to make money is a super scummy move and will lead to alot of players leaving the game because they dont want to wait that long for the game to be good. I say activision because they ultimately control the game financial wise..............and we all know the horrible ways moneyvision trys to make money( or any publisher sadly). If D2 was an improvement of off D1 and actvision didnt have their claws in it then D2 would have probably sold better and in the end made them more money. IMO activision was the worst publsher to choose for destiny. Could they provide a big budget for bungie to work with? yes the can, but unfortunately that all came at a cost of D2 being what activision wanted it to be not bungie so it became a giant casino to fuel moneyvisions bottomless pockets.

Well it worked the first time.... did it not
-
I know I probably in the minority opinion on this but I have always thought destiny 1 was at its best at launch
-
That doesn't make it a "sequel" then. If that's the case, D2 is a beta platform.
-
D1 was Alpha D2 is Beta Delta may never come.
-
This is what I've been saying. It's so obvious, it's painful to see people not seeing it like that.
-
And in the final year, they'll come up with yet another thin, "story driven" excuse for why they're taking all your shit away.
-
I won't be sad about losing my stuff next time because there is no armor, weapons or exotics that are so cool, unique or I had to grind for that I'll be sad when they are gone. Remember grinding for the perfect roll on Grasp of Molek or the gasp of extreme excitement when Vex Mythoclast or Gjallahorn dropped in Vault of Glass?
-
I can agree with this statement. I was really depressed at having to leave my beloved Vision of Confluence behind. That one hurt. I (still) love that weapon. In Destiny 2? the weapons are so lackluster, and the armor is worthless beyond aesthetics, that I won't really blink if I have to leave any of this worthless shit-tier gear behind.
-
I loved that one too! I'm not really a sniper but Icebreaker was one of my all time favorite exotics. Really loved using that and very useful in VoG and Crota!
-
Icebreaker will always be my favorite. First ever exotic and vog will be the best raid since I did it first.
-
And there was a ton of legendary weapons in D1 that were better than most of D2 exotics.
-
Icebreaker was my baby. I was sad with what Luke Smith did to neuter that weapon...
-
Was watching a video from before destiny was released (the original) and the -blam!-ing edz was in it! From 2013 ! Unreal
-
If you dig enough you will also find the cabal raid was meant to be in D1...
-
Not to mention, almost every exploration location (the planets and moons) from both games was in the Director in those pre-release videos. With the power of the Xbox One and the PS4, any excuse any Bungie developer makes about why the game can only support 4-5 explorations locations, becomes pure bullshit. If the game could support double the locations in the goddamn Alpha build, it can more than support them now. They're just milking you for extra cash. Destiny as a AAA title, only makes the "AAA" and anagram for "Another Activi$ion Atrocity".
-
They made it that way since they control the marketing. They is activision
-
Many players won't be here by Christmas, never mind in 3 years.
-
They will come back when the game is worth it. As far as I'm aware the ghaul storyline and upcoming osiris dlc was meant to be in vanilla destiny also. This game is a cash cow and always will be
-
People aren't coming back, I'm sorry if people are banking on this, but it isn't going to happen this time around.
-
True, but for how long, the games lost its personality for me, weapons and armour are boring now, very disappointed.
-
Totally agree.

With the right dlc for you it will suck you back in. It happened in destiny 1 for a lot of people I know that played. They all came back year 3 when the flood gates opened. For me I played destiny 1 for the first three weeks, then I stopped playing much like this game. After the first dlc they added I came back. I played through the new missions, did the raid a bunch then stopped playing. They they added house of wolves and I was on nearly everyday since then. This game has the same roll out plan I bet, for some they will stay now, others will come back. I will play again later because I bought the dlc already, so the plan works. I could even add the fact that some people are still playing destiny one after playing destiny two and waiting on dlc. Bungie doesn't look so stupid when you think of it.
-
I'm hoping the dlc' will add what's needed. I was the opposite, I played on stop for months, slowed down near the end but still found things to do. I didn't find vanilla D1 as thin as I have done this one, maybe due to knowing more, but it has to improve and I'm sure they're looking at the feedback.
