It's been 3 years, and I think most of us can agree that we've had quite a few awesome moments happen in Destiny.
Maybe it was an epic K/D in a Crucible match.
Maybe it was your first raid.
Maybe it was finding the purple ball in the tower.
For me, it was when I first played the Vault of Glass raid. I had a sudden realization halfway through it of: "Wow, this isn't just a super long strike with tons of tough enemies and a generic boss at the end like I was expecting. What is it actually? Not sure yet, but it's flippin' awesome, I know that."
What was your favorite moment in Destiny?

The first time I completed the Black Garden solo. The music was epic and really amped up the fight

It would be the day i got 4 exotics in one day back in year one, i think in October. It was while xur was present and was selling the ice breaker. I had decided to buy it with just enough strange coins and was my first exotic gun. I then soloed the nightfall back when it was level 28 when i was sitting at level 25. It was the Archon Priest and all three burns were activated. Took a while but i cheesed it by hiding underneath metal platform. Doing this netted me the Invective from the exotic weapon bounty. I was then randomly invited to a party that was looking to do the raid and were at Atheon. Took a while but we cleared it where i got a last word as a drop. A few of us went back and cleared it all the way up to atheon. The gorgons chest area netted me a Mida Multi Tool. Still one of my fondest memories because of all the awesome gear i got, and i got level 27 because of the raid gear that dropped along with Atheons Epilouge and Vision of Confluence.

Maybe it was an epic K/D in a Crucible match.
80% of my games were.
Maybe it was your first raid.
First VoG run "cheesed" the Templar, and Gjallarhorn'd Atheon, so that was "O.K.". Blind running WotM was fun though.
Maybe it was finding the purple ball in the tower.
Had more fun flaunting my flawless trials sets.

Glitching onto the top of the Vault and observing all the Guardians going about their days. The occasional one spotting me. Either tries to get up, messages me asking how to, or already knows how and joins me for a dance.

Early on in year one when it dawned on me how elemental damage and burn work on enemies. I know it's so obvious now. But if you remember Bungie was notorious for not really explaining how everything worked in Destiny. I remember after that i played the nightfall with solar burn over and over with my icebreaker.

I'll never forget my first Kings Fall completion. I was the runner. It was amazing and a big confidence booster for me!

Finally getting our woefully untalented raid squad to beat Atheon, then dancing as the chatterwhite brothers around the one member who didn't bother joining us that time.

Beating Skolas week 1. That shit was painful but it felt good.

1 ReplyWay back in the first month; when Autos were Tier 0, Rahool xurned his reputaion, and the light system was the cause of chagrin for many. I had just received a Tower invite for the Nightfall. A good chat dialogue followed and we started on our merry way, or not. You see, apparently for this pair not having a mic to take on Sepiks was a no-go and I was kicked in-orbit. By the Nine entangled in twine in that moment I had felt challenged, what recourse do I have but to do this thing solo? It's not like there's an LFG system! Thus begins my Hunter's first steps in the Nightfall. Died once at the laser grid, we didn't have cheese back then but a 24 mag Crusader and a Comedian on the catwalk got me through. Walker: No deaths, Legendary Engram! Sepiks: No deaths (still no idea how), Legendary Engram! Beat it before they could, nabbed Thunderlord and a purple Warlock chest from said engrams and Coins from the drop. Felt way too good.
