It's been 3 years, and I think most of us can agree that we've had quite a few awesome moments happen in Destiny.
Maybe it was an epic K/D in a Crucible match.
Maybe it was your first raid.
Maybe it was finding the purple ball in the tower.
For me, it was when I first played the Vault of Glass raid. I had a sudden realization halfway through it of: "Wow, this isn't just a super long strike with tons of tough enemies and a generic boss at the end like I was expecting. What is it actually? Not sure yet, but it's flippin' awesome, I know that."
What was your favorite moment in Destiny?

Running sword for my group and killing Crota for the first time after hours of attempting.
-
My favorite moment was went I went flawless in Y1, me and my friend ran through the HoW story and got the key to open the chest in the PoE and I got the last word and he got the MIDA, that was on a Thursday. The following day trials dropped and we pretty much had a nonstop victory push and when we made it to the lighthouse, it was that ultimate euphoria that the Y1 last word gave me As far as PvE, I never could finish VoG with my friends, but I did do Crota and we farmed him 9 times a week trying to get the Gjallarhorn so I could be the dps'er and on the last run with my hunter it dropped and it was amazing

Getting icebreaker as my first exotic. It was very early on in year 1 and people were like, "where did you get THAT"!!!
-
My first Atheon kill. It was a fleeting moment because I soon realized the only rewards I got from my first raid were a warlock bond (no light level at the time) and a shader.

First VoG
-
First hard mode VoG I did... I was level 28, and it took a significant amount of time, I ended up getting Fatebringer, Praetorian Foil, The Mythoclast and a helmet that run. Best raid experience of my Destiny career to date.
-
Beating the raid for the first time
-
Beating the King's Fall raid for the first time.
-
Randal the Vandal, t-bagging and getting hate mail in the Crucible, gun challenges, and meeting a bunch of awesome people all along the way.

Black spindle mission!!
-
VOG,exploring and finding the secrets, getting on top of Templar at the highest point on 360

Going to be perfectly honest. Control match on firebase delphi back in year 1, abusing The Last Word. 41 kill game, with a overall score of 8724 and a 3.42 KD http://i891.photobucket.com/albums/ac116/khorthoz/Destiny/41%20kills%20overall%20scoreboard_zps8uhhcwcj.jpg~original That match was absolutely insane from my perspective and was just way fun. If I had to pick a second favorite moment, it would be my one and only trip to the Lighthouse in year 1.

Edited by shwabbywabby: 9/4/2017 1:09:44 PMThe 1st time I completed the Kings Fall raid I was buzzing for days after. My fireteam consisted of: 2 English that only spoke English. 2 German 1 of which could translate English to the other German. 1 Pole that didn't speak English 1 Spaniard that only spoke a tiny bit of English. It took us 4 hours on the Oryx fight but no one was willing to give up. The 2nd best moment was getting my mate through the Kings Fall raid. 3rd best was he still hasn't completed it alive.

1 ReplyAs fun as VOG was, doing King's Fall with 5 other people, when none of us had any idea what to do, was the best memory I've got. A laid back fireteam of 6, all talking shit and having a good time. Fun fireteams are what make Destiny so memorable.

I have a couple. One was finally getting the ghallyhorn from a purple engram from back when there were daily missions. The other was spending a couple hours trying to beat Skolas in POE with two randoms. We came close to killing him a couple times but we didn't care, we were having so much fun just bsing and goofing around and talking about other interests we had outside of destiny.

First exotic that Rahool gave me. Before his upgrade.
-
Meeting the team mates that became the Clan mates that became my friends. Most worthy experience i got out of Destiny, hands down. Awaking the Hive on the Moon. My first Vault of Glass completion, Atheon no more. Getting Y1 Fatebringer. Ending Crota with a sword. Seeing Oryx drift away dead, avenging my Queens death. Yeah.
-
Warpriest, final damage cycle, my entire team dies and I'm the only one left. You can hardly see his health. Time is running out on the brand and he's about to go immune. One shot left in my black spindle. Quickscope him AS I DIE, the raid wipe symbol pops up and then we get our rewards, the warpriest dies and we get revived. Everyone loses their mind and starts screamming.

Unconventionally making new friends by tbagging an enemy team during iron banner. We've been playing together since year one now.
-
First ever VOG in October 2014. Went in blind and took us all week but just complete euphoria when Atheon finally went down. The other 5 and I went on to to everything until ROI. Good times.
-
Downing skolas with my 2 brothers. Almost as good as downing nefarian back in vanilla wow days

When i finished crota for the first time, just 2 of us with no experience at all was fun.
