Should I start playing Warframe?
I feel like this is going to be a huge investment on time and money; anyone who plays Warframe, is it good to start now or don't bother?
Edit: Hey guys, quick update. Right now solos not my thing so if anyone wants to group up on Warframe hit me up ;)

12 RepliesGo for it. The game is completely free. No matter what people say, you only have to pay money for cosmetic items. Otherwise, everything can be crafted simply by playing the game. Warning: this game can become addicting for some people (like me) (Pro tip: Pick Excalibur or Mag. They're arguably the best Frames)

It is an investment, but once the ball starts rolling, you'll enjoy it. Not to mention, Plains of Eidalon is about to drop alongside Hydroids Prime, so it'll provide you ample opportunity to find stuff to do.

Well time yes, money....well maybe but it isn't really required. You can do all the content without paying a dime and paying won't actualy make you more powerfull it just shaves off some time and you look less cool. Beside after a while you can trade with players for curency. But if you are impatient and/or don't like grinding then I would say it is not for you because that is basicly the whole purpose of the game, otherwise I say yes, it is quite an enjoyable game.

2 RepliesIt's a huge investment of time, not money. You can get by with just paying 10 bucks here and there just for slots. If you get crazy and spend the premium currency on other things besides the necessities it will get expensive, otherwise it's very cheap. The grind is a fun one for me so I really like it. I've been playing about a month and no regrets.

Its good to start now. And while you can spend money you don't have too, i havent spent a dime on the game and ive been playing for over 2 years.

I like it. It's free to start with and check out. More savvy players don't spend a dime on anything and it's one of those games you can play a while, leave a while and come back again. I'm a fan.

its a good game with fun abd fast paced movement. but be warned: it is very very very grindy and repetitive to a degree. but definitely one of the better f2p games out there!! (only thing you may want to buy is additional slots)

Warframe is based on pve there's lil of pvp if you are pve player yes sir go for it it's free plus with that new update coming up open world warframe is getting better every day

I would recommend it, it's a game you can leave for a few months then jump back in after a few content updates. Spending money isn't necessary either, it just helps you get items and such faster.

But, it's seriously fun and is an amazing game that is free. You don't need to spend money to get good stuff, there's trading ingame where you can get plat if you have certain things people want (farming this stuff isn't that hard, but rng is a factor) And if you can, play on PC. The pc community has a better understanding of the game. I play on console, but from what I've heard the PC community is better. I've got plenty of primed frames from just buying them cheap on the trade chat, it's really not that hard to find a good deal and make plat too.

Yes. Tried playing a year ago. Couldn't get into it. Too complicated for me. Got back into it a couple weeks ago. Realized it wasn't as bad as I thought. There is an update coming that will add an open world type zone (similar to patrol zones in Destiny) to Earth. Giant monsters will come out at night that you fight. And they want to add more open world zones to all the planets (there's a lot of planets.). The game is has gone through, and is continuing to go through vast improvements and evolution. And it's all free. I enjoy it immensely now. There's quests, bosses on every planet, rewards to grind for, rich lore, interesting characters, and it will soon have open world.

45 days into Warframe, wish I would of dumped Destiny long time ago. It's very complex and grindy.
