Please, remove forced PvP from Exotic Quests or Quests that are necessary to unlock content. I do not like PvP on any game. Just not my thing. As a consequence, I missed out on several Exotics and Sparrow Racing all together in Destiny 1. Would love to avoid that exreme aggravation in Destiny 2. Thanks.

Suck it up and do it. I did. So did a ton of other PvEers. ❄️

I was the same but somehow I've learned to like getting my ass handed to me. I get my kills. I win I lose. It's fun. Isn't that what this is all about?

Agreed. There should be a choice between two paths so as not to bottle neck people into playing parts of the game that they find boring or not fun. After all that's what the point of a game is right? Fun? If what you are being made to do to get an exotic irritates you then what's the point exactly? Especially when the crucible was such a broken disgusting mess in D1. It's an absolute boring and frustrating chore to play for people who don't like PvP. So what's the point in us being barred off from content in the game simply because we don't like PvP or PvE? It would hurt absolutely nothing to provide a choice for the exotic quests other than people getting upset because someone else has the same gun as they do and let's be honest.. do we really want people who would prefer excluding other people to fulfill their own ego in this community? It's already got enough negativity.

Just play the damn game....cry babies everywhere
-
How about next we don't even have to play the game at all to get the exotics? Just log in and they're all automatically available for free.
Sarcasm^ That would be insanely stupid.
"I don't like X, so I shouldn't be forced to do it to get the rewards it entails."
-
Luckily that ain't a problem for me 😜 I love a challenge
-
Could've sworn there were PvE exotics only obtained by raids ya know? I don't see the issue with the setup. If you want x weapon that is exclusive to said event then you must do said event, I don't understand why an item should be available to those not wanting to do said event. This is just cause people want every single thing to cater to them
-
1 ReplyAgreed. 4v4 multiplayer isn't my thing. Not sure I'll play any of it in Destiny 2. I'd hate to forgo a gun like Outback Steakhouse because it required Crucible play.
-
I mean i understand the complaints but lorewise for some of the exotics it made sense to have PvP quests. Because ya know they were used to fight guardians and stuff.
-
2 RepliesDon't know why you missed sparrow racing? It's not a true PVP experience and I think you missed out on something quite fun.
-
Get with the times gramps
-
"Missed out on sparrow racing" Did you want to get granted RACING GEAR by playing trials or crucible? I tend to play those modes to go for higher tier armor to help with pvp and pve. If you want to run laps in the crucible with racing gear equipped then just grind sparrow racing and play private matches. Youll get first every time, bro AND you wont be a detriment to your team whos trying to shoot the opposing teams face.
-
Sparrow Racing? Did you not play Mario Kart? At the same time, there are PvP players who must play PvE to obtain certain weapons. What's going on, is that the Destiny experience covers both parts of the game. And so you can't expect some weapons to eliminate PvP as a portion of the quest. In fact you should expect it already. What you should ask for, is that the PvP sections accommodate for players like yourselves.

3 RepliesAn easy fix for this would be that in order to continue the quest, you're give the choice to do: 10 PVE activities or 10 PVP activities. Or something along those lines. Everyone wins then :)
-
How about alternative methods to finishing the quest. When starting the quest you are told to go to either shaxxxxxxxx ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) or your respective vanguard.
-
12 RepliesIn my opinion, it makes sense for PvP to tie in to some exotic weapon quests as a way to integrate the two parts of the game. However, weapons designed for usefulness in PvE game modes shouldn't require immense skill in PvP game modes to obtain.
-
2 RepliesIf you don't want to play it then I guess you don't want it bad enough. It works both way pal. PvP hogs that don't like PvE had to run PvE for some exotics too. So sick of this catering crap people try to lay out on here. Quit trying to ruin crap because you dislike something. Man up or go without.
-
1 ReplyLook it goes both ways, you dont like pvp than guess what you dont get that exotic unless you put in the work and get it done. Someone hates raids but loves pvp , guess what he needs to go raid on hard mode to get the raid exotic.
-
4 RepliesI hate PvP also but none of the exotic quests that involved PvP was hard in Y2/Y3,the Thorn bounty was a pain in Y1 for those of use that hate PvP but I still did it so anyone could.
-
This makes sense if you see Destiny as a PvE game with an added on PvP as extra content. Like a hoard mode in some games. It's there and there is much to do with it but it is a main focus of the game. Some people see PvP as a big part of destiny and won't even want to be forced to play PvE for an exotic.
-
11 RepliesWith this logic couldn't PVP players also say remove forced PVE exotic quests? Just sayin.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 7/28/2017 11:38:17 PMBungie knows PvE gamers will always outweigh PvP gamers so it will never changed. It's, hey PvE gamers come join our pillow fights.

1 ReplyMan up softie

1 ReplyEdited by fuk gose sniepr: 7/28/2017 7:42:38 PMMm, but Raid exclusive exotics are acceptable. Can't cater to both sides. If it's going to be viable for use in all parts of the game it's only natural you'll have to complete tasks from all parts of the game you dumb oaf. *whine whine* I have to get 50 kills in the Crucible, poorrr meeee!
-
No way, the crucible always needs fodder.
Just kidding, there should be a choice. Set amount of either strikes or crucible matches. They're similar in time to complete.
