Two primary weapons were a great addition to Destiny 2 from a PvP point of view (to have an option for short and long range encounters). Lumping Special and Heavy weapons into one category is a horrible idea from a PvE point of view, but also quite boring from a PvP point of view.
So…. probably too late, but to have 4 weapon slots would be my preferred solution. Two primaries for PvP with special and heavy weapons having a smaller role. Heavy ammo drops once or twice per PvP match and special ammo two, three or four times per match.
In PvE, players would have the option to go to the battlefield with both their sniper and their rocket launcher.
Press weapon swap button once to switch between primary weapons. Double tap to go to special weapon. Holding weapon swap button longer to go to heavy weapon.
Thoughts?
EDIT: With two primaries ghost bullets on hand cannons would have been a non-issue in Destiny 1 if you would have been able to use your other primary weapon slot for a pulse rifle or scout rifle...

3 RepliesSo would the special and heavy slots have the same weapon? If so what would the point be in the heavy slot if special ammo drops more often and its the same weapon.
