Yeah... Maybe it's not a priority to give those people a couple of emblems. Maybe it's difficult to track data between platforms. Maybe Bungie wants all their time going to polishing up the game.

It's not tracking data between platforms though, Bungie has all the player data on their servers, cross saves is doable but it all comes down to Microsoft and Sony allowing it to happen
-
And that won't happen soon. I think.
-
Unfortunately its unlikely. Beit the war between consoles, the contract that bungie wrote, or some other reason, its unlikely. But still technically possible.
-
It's business. One party is gonna benefit more from this kind of deal.
-
Microsoft is open to it via a press release. Sony, not so much
-
That's what I meant. MS is likely to profit more with this deal than Sony.
-
Umm nobody profits from cross platform play besides the consumer
-
I don't know how this kind of business works, but if MS doesn't get any profit out of it they would never want to invest money and time in building it.
-
Then why did they say they're publicly open to it via a press release just a month ago?
-
Microsoft apparently sees a way to make money.
-
"Were essentially trying to make game development a much more inclusive environment, by not only put an end to silly console wars, but by also putting its bottom line at risk" - Microsoft Game Rant Interview Sadly, I don't think that means they're in it for the money
-
Not offending you, honestly. But have you worked in any corporate businesses? Because I wholeheartly believe MS doesn't state that out of the kindness of their hearts.
-
Only for the last 10+ years

Edited by ImOnPlate2Guys: 6/28/2017 7:31:23 PMThen you know what I am getting at. If a company thinks a decision brings benefit, they do it. If they think it isn't worth the investment, they won't. Microsoft probably says these kind of things, because they see opportunities that benefit their company. So they come out and tell the public that crossplay is something they would want to work on. Sony on the other hand benefits less, so they decide not to cooperate. Again, from my interpretation.
