They aren't. The bullet hose archetype is equal to the palindrome in kill time.

No they both have a equal time to kill @ 0.87 Secs. Ok so you have to be more precise with the bullet hose but at the same time it's more forgiving if you miss a shot and also if I am land headshots it creates more flinch for the hand canon user making it harder for them to return fire. I use my Doctrine nearly all the time and can out gun most hand canon users in a 1v1 situation. I would love them to buff it, but being realistic it doesn't need a buff. Right now primary's are as balanced as they ever has been. Hawksaw, Doctrine and Palindrome all have a optimal kill time of 0.87 meaning I can go into the crucible with what ever I want and be competitive.

Yeah but you cant hide behind corners in between shots. This is the biggest reason why HC are the best weapons. You can hide between shots.

Ok but that's taking technique into account. If they took that into account when balancing, autos would be over powered in a straight 1v1. Plus dipping behind cover increases a hand canons TTK if your using a auto and going up against someone that's dipping you should disengage not stand there like a lemon giving them a easy kill.
