If I remember correctly, the Citadel and all those other things were built in some other timeline's Venus, and was either carried over somehow or replicated in our timeline. The Vault of Glass is the Vex's attempt to make a Vex version of a Throneworld, and probably just floats around in space until the door to a certain timeline's Vault opens, I think

  • Love the comparison of the Vault to a Throne World. Kudos

  • This is interesting to me. Seeing how much the upper structure of the citadel is made of the alien/vex material rather than the stone. Imagine them using materials in their respective time until the rest of the structure has been completed from other times, and when they 'replicate' or 'transpose' across all of them the structures will be congruent but sections that are stone for us might be vex material some other time or place , like where the stranger is from?

The stranger is maya sundaresh one of the scientists who was being simulated by the vex with dr shim. They rescued 227 copies of themselves from the simulation and entered the vex network in proxy bodies that upgraded as time went on. Eventually she became the exo stranger. Ive been calling this since year 1 just wait youll see

  • I just threw it out there for fun.. But, this is cool. I should read more grimore, I know a lot, but not all of it. I guess id rather play than read grimore a lot of the time.

  • Well it doesnt exactly say its her. Nothing has been confirmed. But from what ive read im pretty positive its her. Maya sundaresh doesnt have any spoken lines so i cant say they have the same voice actor. In the grim it talks about the simulation happening and it says her and the group of scientists who were simmed wound up saving227 copies of themselves from other simulations and they all entered the vex network to explore and find a way out hopefully. And they were in proxy bodies which were essentially early prototype exo bodies in a way. She found a way tp upfrade heraelf and exit the vex network while utilizing certain vex capabilites like teleporting and whatnot. It also explains why shes not a guardian with a ghost. Her grim talks about how shes seen the future multiple times and in every one we have lost. Except this one. Thats why shes in our timeline. We have done things that broke us off from the timeline she has seen countless times destroyed by the vex. Us guardians and our deeds in destiny 1 are the variable in the vex's equation of winning. The grim talks about the creation of exos more i wont get into that now but its crazy and i have a solid theory on that as well

  • Wait, what? The grimoire says that in every timeline we lost to the Vex except the one we play in, that's all very well and good, but, the game also says that the Vex always die out because of either Oryx or the Guardians or something. So I'm wondering how they kill us in all timelines but the one we play in, and we kill them all in some timelines aswell. I don't think they thought of that when Bungie came up with that.

  • Its not different timelines persay as it is different branches off from our existing timeline. Time isnt linear as we percieve it. This starts to get into physics and stuff to explain but pretty much the tinelines where we were defeated are simply branches off of our current timeline in game. We did something different. Overcame obstacles in the game that we disnt overcome in the timeline the stranger has been to. Nunerous branches where we lost. She came back to our fork in the road to see if something coukd be done different. Which we have. And which is also why we arent playing in that timeline where we lost but the one we created and are winning

  • I just had an idea; you know how Spires form, right? How there's a blueprint thing, and then stone just appears out of thin air? What if the stone was being brought into our timeline from a different timeline's Venus? Or from our Venus's past?
