PS+ free games this month...
Let put it in a short way: Xbox got good stuff while PS got short-changed.

I know I'm not the only one thinking that PS+ should take a break from indie games for the next few months.
Why cant they give us some redeemable triple A titles.
Like God of War 3 remastered or Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor.
Edit: what I'm trying to say is I'd rather have old releases with great gameplay instead of small indie games with little to offer.
While i agree that Resident Evil was a good deal back in October, LittleBigPlanet 3 was godawful so that doesn't really count to me.

PS is always getting trash. Sucks to be a PS owner if you want some good free fames. Hopefully they'll put up another classic like Rocket League. They have amazing sales on the PS Store though. That makes up for it.

1 ReplyIsn't Evolve shutting down its servers? I thought it went f2p on PC but it only gave them a temporary increase and they had to shut it down. Honestly the PS games are more appealing to me this month because, other than EDF, I haven't played any of them. I've played all the Xbox games though.

"these indie games are crap" Company: puts out good indies "I hate indies" Company: puts out Triple A "I've never heard of it. Must be crap" Company: puts out exclusive "not the game I wanted, whaaaa" Just because you've never heard of a game or it wasn't picked specifically for you, doesn't make it a bad list.

To be clear, Tearaway is Fu*king awesome. Also PS+ gets great games pretty often but I guess we'll choose to ignore the likes of rocket league, journey, LBP3, this war of mine, everybody's gone to the rapture, resident evil, and lords of the fallen (to name just the most recent) because they're not made by WB, EA etc.

The AAA hits in the Games with Gold line up are usually older 360 games that are like sandpaper to my eyes. But that's beside the point. Truth is that Microsoft is using its profitable OS and Office business to prop-up its Xbox. Simply put, it can offer more cash for publishers to make a game free through Games with Gold. Sony has taken a different strategy with their PS Plus plan this generation. The games are often newer, skew younger, and favor co-op. Yes, Sony wants your kids because your kids are the future of its business. For AAA games, Sony seems intent on selling them for deep discounts for PS Plus members during Flash sales instead of outright giving them away. (I'm a sucker for Flash sales, and it's not only how I spend most of my gaming dollars, it's also how I built up a huge backlog of unplayed games.) On the Xbox side, I think we'll see the Xbox Games Pass shake things up. Publishers will go with whatever service nets them the most money.

Why do you think triple-A means good? I really like PS Plus offers because they introduce me to indie games I'd never discover on my own. I like it this way. I would like if they made a PS2 game free to finally get some publicity for their reverse compatibility, but other than that I'm fine with what I get for a mere $60 dollars.
