Honestly, especially in Duels, you can't complain if you get thrown off a cliff.
It's a real and used strategy. You should expect that Block Break to be done against you, and you should counter in turn.

Absolutely. There is even an indication when your opponent is going to guard break you.

Exactly. It's a split second warning, but it's something that you definitely have to expect due to where you are in your surroundings.
