I have no idea where you're getting the Destiny comparison. The gameplay looks like your standard Mass Effect action to me. The mp should be just what you're expecting if you played ME3.

They want you to play more exposed now. Its not a cover shooter anymore its more open combat. No more global cooldowns (yes like ME1 but what else...) From what I heard it is still 100% a cover shooter. They are just trying to showcase the action to make it appeal more to the masses. One of the game informer crew that did the cover story for MEA was on the beastcast recently and he confirmed exactly that. He said he played the mp and it was exactly like ME3.

Ive seen a few things that stated otherwise and it matches with the gamplay shown. We saw them moving that way anyways in the end of ME3.

I agree it's not like destiny, but I can hardly say the gameplay currently released is anything like old mass effect gameplay. There's a lot more jumping around, a more doomed out cameral, a lot more action at once, etc.
